MY TRAVEL ESSENTIALS TO #LADAKH
A few things I have in toiletries kit, when I'm on the go.
(Tap on the photo, see the tags and you can read about that particular product in the caption)
Also I have a small pouch in which I always keep a few things permanently for travelling.
In this picture, starting from
1. The cute hand embroidered pouch - I got it from the lanes of #oldmanali this year in January
2. Shampoo - a gift from one of most favourite brands @ryaalusa is the #moroccon gold shampoo, which is shimmery and glittery and most of the times I don't like using it at all because it's so beautiful.
Just like a thing popped out of my childhood fairy tale books
It's handy, can be carried easily
And makes my hair really really light and soft. As well as frizz free.
I recommend it totally
3. My teeth requirements in the trip were fulfilled by @aspironatural
Another gift from the brand.
Why I loved to bits and parts is because I've always felt that powders works wonders on your teeth
And this one is Charcoal powder.
Which is known for its whitening quality.
You can easily get this one from @amazondotin
4. Another gift from @bellavita.organic this one's a LIP SCRUB
Trust me on this when I say that it's A MUST when you're traveling to the mountains,
Those whose been to the mountains before know how dry it gets up there and therefore kind of becomes important to scrub them softly and then use balms.
5. My most favourite face cleanser so far comes from the brand of @plumgoodness
It's a cucumber based cleanser and is very refreshing.
6. Another one in the list, a recent favourite fragrance from the lot,
My @thebodyshopindia British rose gift by sistaaa @shreshtha_misra
And whether on a trip or not, I use it everyday
7. My bathing bar from @khadiglobal.in
Although I prefer body washes always over bars, but since this is a two in one thing, which comes with a loofah too. #flatlays
Meet Barsha Mukherjee (RIHLA) alias @bong_connected
The one who was Born Raised and Transferred and hence was infected with the virus of travelo-mania since childhood.
As a child roamed around half the country but hardly remembers half the travel lores,
So when she grew up a lil (not much in height though) she made it a pact with herself that she'd WANDER.
Wander where ever she wants
Wander with sibling, friends and strangers
Wander where her heart takes her.
Join her in this journey of exploring the world as well as exploring herself!
The over night intellectual conversations that we had about telepathy and other fancy things,
Did you ever try to think of them, after we lost connection?
I mean, on those nights when you couldn't sleep, thinking of me.. Or on the days you were woken up by a dream of 'us' sitting by the river Dawki,
Or you hiccuping while taking a puff of your Marlboro
Did the thought of me thinking of you ever crossed your mind?
Please say yes. Because if not..
Then it's a shame that I couldn't love you enough. -Mukherjee
June 17, 2019
From the pink hues to the minarets kissing the sky!
From the waves, trying to reach my feet so desperately to that woman trying to shed her dreams off the cliff.
I see faces with exasperating sighs, bursting out into delicious laughter, exaggerating life as sinking into the briny sea, poised and brimming with dollops of love and sometimes as lost as the ships missing a compass.
I realise with each passing moment that life has got too much too offer,
Before I give up on myself, I can actually look around to see how everybody's on the same lane, and trying to move towards the same destination.
How is an ordinary life different from an extraordinary one?
On a fine hike day, I found myself here, away from the hustle bustle.
And realised that probably I'm not day dreaming but dreaming of a life that can come out of my dreams and be true.
Why do you think that it's necessary to think ordinary?? Ordinary is just a phase,
I can be born ordinary but is it a compulsion to be so, all through my life?
Actually set lose the string of kite, as you will always have the spool in your hands.
Even if the kite flies high beyond the limits, you can always pull it back.
So far this year has given me many varied experiences,
And lot of places.
I've been unable to reply to any calls or messages,
As I had an action packed day yesterday.
Some work commitments, and other things which I absolutely love.
Day started with work, and hell lots of wishes
With kids decorating the boards and singing for me in each class and surprising me with hand made greeting cards and chocolates
And flowers and confetti... Went for head spa at @yantrasalon and got a pleasant surprise with the whole crew bringing cake for me.
Had a show of my play 'Thanks Beta' at @indanapalacejodhpur
And thereafter another lil celebration. .
Another set of people,
Whom I've known for years now..
Our acquaintance dates back to the days of #NCC ,
Where we mingled over the tryst of stealing samosas and then in the senior year going around punishing juniors, and making them do daddu ( a kind of punishment famous in NCC where a cadet is made to jump like a frog)
Bakshi Saab ( @nehabakshi_ ) is that person who made sure that I'm being treated properly in the unit by junior cadets as I was the youngest one in the lot, still in school. @akshayagarwal19 another fellow flying cadet, who was mostly spotted in his overalls and flying boots in unit and airforce station, Jodhpur.
In this trip to #Leh , I got a chance to reunite with them and relive the old memories as well as share a different bond altogether.
I think along with beautiful serene views this trip gave me two more people I'd like to keep forever.. .
So when I said,
Some people are treasures and are meant to be kept forever.
Ever if they cross an expiry date, they can still serve a purpose in your life
Sometimes setting up an example of what not to have around, removing unnecessary unwanted judgemental people from life, detaching self from the toxic people and kicking off assholes.
And then you'll find under the haystack a handful of people,
Who you'd like to and definitely should TREASURE.
These are the ones who know you inside out and are another set of assholes but then you can't do without them!
