  • ATHABASCA FALLS - Jasper, Alberta - Canada
_________________________________________
Athabasca Falls is a waterfall in Jasper National Park on the upper Athabasca River, approximately 30 kilometres south of the townsite of Jasper, and just west of the Icefields Parkway. A powerful, picturesque waterfall, Athabasca Falls is known for its force due to the large quantity of water falling into the gorge. Even on a cold morning in the fall, when river levels tend to be at their lowest, copious amounts of water flow over the falls. The river 'falls' over a layer of hard quartzite and through the softer limestone below carving the short gorge and a number of potholes.

  • Huoyan Mountain - 火炎山, Sanyi, Miaoli, Taiwan
_________________________________________
Huoyanshan (Huoyan/Fire Mountain) Nature Reserve is located to the north of Da-an River. It is known for its special scenery featuring sharp bare hills, and the Mawei Pine Tree Forest. In 1986, the Council of Agriculture designated the area a nature reserves.

Huoyanshan has an interesting geological history. Its geological structure was formed by dramatic tectonic movements and consists mainly of conglomerate and sandstone layers with very weak cohesion. Natural forces such as wind and rain have eroded these mountains, causing large sections to break off, creating jagged peaks and rock strewn slopes and valleys. The best view of the mountains is from the south; they are especially magnificent at the sunset, when they appear to be on fire. It is from this that they derive their name, Mt. Huoyan, which means fire mountain. Every March and April, Mt. Huoyan serves as a stopover for migratory birds coming from the south. The gray-headedvulture, on its way back to the north from its winter retreat in the Philippines, is a frequent visitor, attracted by the mild climate of Mt. Huoyan.

  • LEGENDARY SANXIANTAI - Three Saint Island, TaiDung, Taiwan
_________________________________________
It is composed of offshore islands and coral reefs. Odd-shaped rock are everywhere on the islands, including three huge rocks which have spawned legends about three Chinese saints: Lyu-Dongbin, Li-Tieguai and He-Xiangu. They once boarded on the island, hence the name Sanxiantai (Three Saints Island). Sanxiantai is a geological rock that turned out to be a headland. Gradual erosion cut the neck that connected the mainland to the main island, and thus became offshore islands.

Tourists who used to visit this place could only reach the island during low tide. In 1987, the government completed the eight cross-sea arch bridge that crosses over to the island. It was designed in the shape of waves, like a prostrate sea dragon and connects Sanxiantai with Taiwan Island. It has become the most famous landmark on the East Coast.

The entire Sanxiantai area is about 22 hectares with the highest point about 77 meters above sea level. There is a trail that goes around the island, it takes about 2 hours to go around it with no rush. Coral reefs surround the island, because of the strong weathering and erosion that made up the legendary stories about the natural landscape, such as Xian-Jian Gap He-huan holes and Sanxiantai, there are also some natural wonders around, such as the scattered sea trenches, sea caves, sea columns, sea walls to surprise tourists who visit the island.
Sanxiantai is also a place for the study of coastal plants like the Taiwanese date palm, white dogwood, and bay bean.

Sanxiantai is classified as a nature reservation in Taiwan. From the southern tip to Jihui, there are beautiful coral reefs and tropical fish, it is said to be the most beautiful place for the undersea exploration in Taiwan." _________________________________________

Tegal Wangi Beach Bali is a beautiful secret spot situated on the south-western coast line of Bali. Unlike all other beaches in Bali, this one has it’s own naturally formed jacuzzi’s as well an awesome hidden cave. It makes for the most stunning photo spot, especially at sunset.

The ocean is pure and the beach is super clean with powdery golden sand. Be sure to check when the tide is out if you’re only going to experience the natural jaccuzi’s. This will avoid being crashed by the waves plus it will not be safe at high tide.
