Something happened today. I turned 28. Aside from my hips, back, ankles, elbow, shoulders ... I feel 18. In my head I’ve not yet grown out of having fun in a childish manner. In every sunrise, summit, sunset, mishap , mistake and memory I still enjoy the moment. I never want to lose that so I protect it and cherish it with everything that I have. Once it’s gone it’s hard to get back. So for now, we let the hikes roll on and the adventures roll harder. Here’s to another 🤙🏽

Winter is coming! Snow-capped peaks and yellow grass made an epic scene at this summit in Switzerland yesterday at the top of our hike 🇨🇭🐐 SWIPE RIGHT to see what this spot looked like from where I was sitting while shooting this photo. #switzerland

Far out I’ve met some legends on this journey! Get out there, enjoy the nature, meet the people and share a smile, chat or even a meal. The world is smaller than you think and we are all more similar than we like to pretend. Enjoy the adventure 🤙🏽 Swipe through the gallery to see some of the local legends I’ve met although most aren’t captured on camera as usually it’s just hanging out with people you meet in different parts of the world 🤙🏽 #travel#adventure

Leaving fresh trails behind me out here in the Swiss Alps 🐐 This series of photos was from the adventure of Spitzmeilen Peak. An overnight stay at Spitzmeilenhütte followed by a trek through the snow to the base of the peak before a slippery ascent with chains to the summit for pano views of the region. Epic days in 🇨🇭 ... 2900m high but feeling on top of the world. Last night I hiked up to Jorihorn with @dominikcschneider as part of the Joriseen hike in Davos and the sunset was otherworldly. I’ve added some photos to the gallery to show the hike up and the other side of the ridge ✌🏽All of these photos are originally landscape orientation and will be are on my blog journeyera.com in the Joriseen hike article (link in bio)

Plan. Hike. Sweat. Photograph. Write. Eat. Sleep. .
This is my current daily routine on repeat. It smells sweaty, takes me to incredible views, challenges me and introduces me to lots of new people. It’s simple but can also be very complex. It’s a lot if things but above all.. it’s fun. I do it for fun. Not for a boss, not to get paid, not to get an award or my name on a list. It’s just fun stuff and I hope I can keep things fun til the day I die ✌🏽 - photos from the sweaty Panama jungle days 🇵🇦

I felt nostalgic the last couple of days and have already started looking forward to being back in the Philippines 🇵🇭 later this year for more epic times like this - one of my favorite moments in the last year. Two more weeks and 12 more hikes in Switzerland to go! - posting this from a mountain hut in the snow👌🏽🇨🇭

I was looking back at photos of my first travels. Before it became a job and all that. I’m actually pretty proud of myself that I haven’t really changed that much in certain ways. I never ‘leveled up’ just because I could, in the areas that didn’t mean anything to me. I made this realization while in an elevator today and I noticed 3 holes in my shirt, my two backpacking bags hanging off my shoulder and I looked into my tired eyes and saw that same love of the adventure, the hustle and the challenge that I saw in them on day one. It’s nothing special really but it’s important to me because over the past 3 years I’ve watched a lot of people ‘upgrade’ as their situation changed. It’s not a bad thing to change but knowing that I’m still traveling in a similar way, wearing similar clothes and eating similar foods over such a long period of time shows me what’s important and what my focus is. I’m not on this app to provide an audience with a pretty photo every day. I’m just a guy who enjoys adventures, new challenges, documenting those and sharing them. Just a thought I thought I’d share(you have a lot of those after a long solo stint). Thanks for sticking around. Many more adventures to come as well as holes in my shirt and heavy backpack journeys ✌🏽

Pt. 2 Woke up, grabbed my camera bag, put on every piece of clothing I owned and sat by myself in the freezing cold on the patio watching the sky light itself on fire. Thank you Switzerland 🇨🇭 @engelberg.titlis .
