  • 👶🏼 The weirdest mirror selfie I’ve ever taken...check out that bruise! 🤰🏻Only #ivf mommas get to know every single detail of their pregnancy. Blessing and a curse. So I’ve known there was a baby in there since Feb 5 and since lil Frosty was already hatched, that gave baby a running start making me #5weeks
🍼and so begins the bump pics or lack there of lol. I’m stuck between wanting a bump ASAP & also wanting to have a small bump so I bounce back like a champ. It’s complicated in my head right now. When did you start to show with your first baby? .

  • "The swaddle has been AMAZING, BUT.....how am I gonna get her out of this thing?" 😳🤷‍♀️🏻

Great question!
When the time comes to unswaddle your little one, here are strategies you can try:
1️⃣ Cold Turkey Option 🦃
Just do it! Put her in an arms-free sleep sack or swaddle under her arm pits. This is a "rip off the bandaid" option. Some babies do great and adjust quickly.
-
2️⃣ One Arm Out Option 💪🏼
Swaddle snugly with 1 arm out so your babe has some time to adjust. After she gets used to this (1-3 weeks), go ahead and allow both arms free.
*️⃣This one-arm option is safe for rollers!
-
3️⃣ Partial Night Option ⏲️️
Start the night with one or both arms free. When baby wakes up, go ahead and swaddle her again. The goal is to get a little longer every night.
*️⃣This option does not work if your baby is already rolling!
-
4️⃣ Use a Transitional Item ✨
For babies who struggle with the startle reflex or roll and get stuck, items like the @magicsleepsuit can be so helpful to muffle those startling movements, prevent rolling, and give babies a snuggled feeling without the swaddle.
*️⃣This is safe until baby can roll IN the suit.

If you have a newborn who HATES the swaddle, check out the newborn class (link in bio). I have turned many of swaddle haters into swaddle lovers who start sleeping GREAT!

Have you conquered this transition? Can you give others who are fearing it some reassuring advice? Which option did you use?
