We spent a couple days this week @vailmtn. On Sunday it was the World Pond Skimming Championships which was super entertaining to watch (I’ll post on stories later) then on Monday we spent a very warm day riding around the mountain. .
My tips on spring skiing: * Don’t wear too many layers. I was sweating so bad when I initially went out in a sweater and jacket, the tank top was perfect!
* Get your skis/board waxed. The slushy snow can really slow you down. We all got stuck a few times even while doing downhill! * Use your darkest googles. I only have one pair of googles and they’re awful (I’m too cheap to buy a good pair). It was so bright, my eyes were having trouble out there.
* Slather on the sunblock! I wear sunblock even on cold and cloudy days, but Clayton forgot and came down the mountain looking a little red. .
Vail closes this week but no worries, @breckenridgemtn is open till the end of May so there’s still time to get out there 🙌 #thevaliantlife#Vail#epicbynature#SponsoredbyEpic

Anyone else feel that today? 😅

Yesterday my daughter got upset because we haven’t gone “sunset hunting” in a long time. It’s probably time to change that. :)
(Took this shot last year at one of our favorite sunset hunting spots near home.)
