I’ve always been a fan of @deschutesbeer and thank you to my brother for giving me a can of their Fresh Haze IPA. This one is bright, full of citrusy goodness, slight orange juice but still sticking to a tasty hoppy bitterness flavor that I adore. Beer like this gets me so excited about the warming weather!

  • **Cheap(er) Wednesday**
.
Carlsberg Brewmasters Hoppy Alpen Weisse 🇩🇰 .
I love craftbeer as much as the next guy. However, drinking craft sometimes has its limitations money-wise, also hangovers are unholy after too many craft-beers. So I’ll try to introduce a cheap(er) but still (hopefully) enjoyable beer every Wednesday.
.
While the original Carlsberg is probably one of the worst beers in the world, their Brewmasters collection is a very nice surprise from a cost/quality point of view.
.
Even though I like the IPA in this series (see my review from last week), I can’t say the same about the Weisse.
It’s yeasty, wheaty, malty and the taste is bittersweet (with emphasis on the sweet part).
I’d say this one comes closer to the “standard” Carlsberg (which is the one beer I’ll refuse to drink). However, I’m not a super big fan of Weisse-style beers so this could actually tingle your tastebuds differently if you like the type.
.
Price:<2 Euro (500 ml. bottle)

  • 21st Anniversary | @CentralCoastBrewing
As if these guys don’t make great beer as it is, the CCB crew went all out (as per usual) on their anniversary beer. It’s definitely heavy on the Mosaic side, which is pretty standard and we love, but its a testament to their brewing process how they can even out the heavy ABV with an amazingly smooth, clean finish.

  • Likeable Orange Liquid, DDH DIPA collab by @cloudwaterbrew x @otherhalfnyc // Can Art by @textbookstudio // 10.0% ABV
-----------------------------------------------------------
I first got this a couple of weeks back but after reading some reviews about how ‘green’ it was, I decided to leave it in the fridge to mellow out.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Aroma and flavours of freshly squeezed orange juice and peel, sweet sticky overripe mango and some big dank & resinous piney hops coming through on the finish.
It’s certainly got that signature Other Half super thick and smooth juicy mouthfeel and there’s absolutely no sign of the booze. Fantastic beer! |👍🏼🍊💦🍻|
