  • We know that He is alive, and we rejoice in the fact that He conquered death. But where do we go from here?⠀
⠀
Our lives are now centered on the foundation of hope that comes from the life He brings. Though we face trials of many kinds, though we face days of persecution and struggle, His work is still being done. ⠀
⠀
We press on with the joy and gladness because of what He has done and what He continues to do. We are not filled with despair, but with HOPE because we know that there will come a day where the work of Jesus will be complete.⠀
⠀
We must remember that we are not sons and daughters of this world, but have been adopted as sons and daughters of the King.⠀
⠀
Therefore, we do not make a home here for we are merely passing through. We must put our roots in things eternal. We must look heavenward for the things that truly matter. We must fix our purpose on His glory.⠀
⠀
He is risen and our lives are forever changed. He is risen and our lives are filled with hope!⠀
⠀

  • Your small gesture just made someone’s day. They were able to SHOW UP again because of YOU.
.
.
Your hug, just saying hi, remembering their name, sitting with that new person at church who was getting anxiety about walking in and sitting alone or inviting them for coffee/brunch - maybe it was mindless to you, but it meant the WORLD to them. It’s the reason they had the strength to come back. I know - because that person is me. .
.
I’ve met so many new souls, hugged old ones and found kindness when I didn’t even expect it. Sisterhood, friendship, a mentor, the random acts of kindness - whatever you like to call it don’t stop. Don’t underestimate the power YOU have to make an impact. .

  • You know when you’re in the thick of it—facing tough financial circumstances, or maybe a problem with work or a relationship, or a health issue or an addiction? You know that “I just don’t know what to do” feeling? Most of us do, maybe all of us. The thing is, we actually do know what to do—we know exactly what to do. It’s just hard, in those moments, to remember . . . and to trust.

But we must remember and trust our Father God. He sees and he knows . . . and sometimes he allows. We must not be “surprised at the fiery trial,” therefore, “as though something strange were happening” (1 Peter 4:12). When he allows hardship, though, it’s always for good—even if that’s not, at first, very obvious (James 1:2-4; Hebrews 12:1-11; Romans 8:28). And we must remember and trust our King, Jesus Christ. He is truth. He teaches us what to do in any ordeal. He knows like no other. “Fear not, I am the first and the last, and the living one. I died, and behold I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of Death and Hades” (Revelation 1:17-18). And we must remember and trust our God the Holy Spirit. He’s always with us, in every moment (John 14:16). And he can help and strengthen us, whatever the hardship. The “Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead” exists within us, and can certainly bring new life to our circumstances too (Romans 8:11). If you’re in the thick of it now, trust that God has a plan; follow your King, as he knows the plan and knows the way; and ask the Holy Spirit for help. If you’re not, take a minute to pray.
