  • trained quads this am :P I challenge everyone to plan out their week, write down your training split and GO WITH IT. Once I have a set plan in mind I don’t like changing that plan. Write out your workouts for each day of the week. Write out your whole day in your planner whether it be work, school, homework, exercise, meal planning, + of course !!! time for yourself, God, & self development. keeping a checklist of your schedule and even giving yourself a timeframe to complete each task will keep your day organized and get you into a great habit of getting your physical and mental health in check. Give yourself no choice, but to follow that planner aka f the bs excuses!!!! (if I wrote it down all pretty in my markers and surrounded it with stickers n such I’m making that happen heheheh) when I’m on point with my routine, gym + diet + self development = the happiest and stress free my mind could be ✨✨✨✨ prioritize your mental and physical health throughout each day & there will be absolutely no reason for the progress not to show 🦋🌙👼🏼

Guysss!!! Our personal best looks different ALL. THE. TIME. While the results may look different depending on what’s going on- the intentionality behind our actions should be the same- to reach for our *best.*❤️

I was realizing that the work I do during my comeback (as non-glamorous as it may be: EZ watchless miles + strength work) is JUST AS IMPORTANT as the work I do during my peak fitness. It’s the work that is getting me back there. I don’t get to snooze until I get back to fitness. I *get* to be faithful everyday- laying down the bricks - one by one- until I’m back to where I was & then push for more.

Lately- my personal best has looked like:

⚡️Listening to my body in the comeback & not overloading it
⚡️Running watchless so I keep my EZ runs happy & stress-free!
⚡️Keeping a positive & hopeful attitude & not getting bogged down with discouragement
⚡️Encouraging others around me
⚡️Adding in strength work
⚡️Working on form while on my EZ runs

I love the idea of putting purpose & intentionality into our weeks. It’s easy enough to feel discouraged when we aren’t reaching for our fastest times- but if we start viewing these small wins as the ones we NEED to get to our destination- then we can aim for them & celebrate them. And I love that @brooksrunning is encouraging us to reach for our best with their challenge!❤️
