So kind of fell off the side of the earth, days lost with the mother of all colds, and a sickness bug to boot. The joys of having an autoimmune disease like #type1diabetes And being pregnant too, makes you slightly more susceptible to these little menaces 🙄

Today I managed to make it out into the sunshine, and walk both sides of the school run, and boy did it feel good! 🙌🏼 although strangely exhausting, for what would normally be just a dent in my daily activities 😂

And one thing I have discovered with the enforced pit of nothing but sleep and, more strangely for me, social media absence? It does the world of good. It’s ok to take a break and just do you for a while ❤️

  • One of the questions I usually get asked is: how keep fitness and health goals? It’s a great question because as women we often forget about self-care, or we bump self-care the the bottom of the priority list.

I’ve made it a mission to keep my fitness and health at the top of my priority list because as they say you can’t take care of others unless you are taking care of yourself.

#Meditation has always been a way to organize my mind & discard unwanted thoughts. However, when I've had an action-filled day, I can't just sit and "think" without getting distracted; I need to engage my conscious mind by penning down thoughts - in my journal. ⁠
.⁠
📖 Write about all that you did today - "woke up, went to work, went to the gym, met a friend, etc." - this will help you get into "flashback mode" - like a warm-up for your mind to center itself. ⁠
.⁠
📖 ⁠Write top 3 things that bothered you today - made you feel incomplete, unhappy or alone. Mention them one below another, now start writing a solution to *fix* them right next to those points.⁠
.📖 Write about all that you accomplished today in extreme positivity - "i had a smashing workout" ; "I rocked todays meeting at work"; "my lunch was a super delicious clean meal" ..⁠
.📖 Write about what you want to achieve in your life - long term goals; rewrite them, if you wrote about them yesterday.. keep rewriting them until it gets embedded in your subconscious. ⁠
.⁠
📖 Finally, write about what you want to accomplish tomorrow in extreme detail eg for work - "I want to have a productive day at work, where I am focussed in all my meetings, dedicated & driven to solve any problem. I will not get bored or lazy or procrastinate". ⁠

Your journal-entry, if structured this way, will help you revamp your current #thought process & break any negative thought-cycles you are building. Try this 5x a week for the next 6 weeks and watch your mind #TRANSFORM ⁠
