Sunday’s are now my heaviest/most intensive training days and let me tell you today was no exception. I haven’t squat since 2017 due to it no longer being an enjoyable movement after numerous surgeries and injuries. But today I hit 60kg for a triple for 70kg for a single 🍑 followed by a strip set on the leg press that made me actually want to cry.
Shoutout to @babebands_ for the assistance with active recovery sets. If you are in the market for bands use jodie10 for a sneaky little discount, I’ve used bands for years however @babebands_ posts memes so I am sold ✌🏻
IT’S ABOUT DAMN TIME!!!!
I’m honestly at a loss for words.
TWO 70.3s SIX DAYS APART and I beat my PR by 12 whole minutes with a 5:57 today!!!
I FINALLY hit my goal of sub 6 at a 70.3 distance, and placing 1st in my AG was just the cherry on top🥇
Full race report to come tmrw since I’m still in shock and need time for all of this to sink in, but just wanted to share that no matter what obstacles stand in your way and how many times you try and fail, never EVER give up.
With amount of health issues I’ve been through not only these past 5 years, but just this past year alone, I have every reason to throw in the towel, stay in bed, and complain. Yet I still get up, face my problems head on, and live my life to the fullest every single day.
Don’t ever let fear or failure take control of your life. Look it straight in the eye, and make it your bitch 😉
Remember this next time you think you can’t do something, because I guarantee you that ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE!!

GM! Today we bring you … THE BEST STUDIOS FOR MEETING PEOPLE ~
Having in-studio friends is a great way to stay motivated and it also makes a workout experience that much better (friends who sweat together, stay together … right?). Studio friends are people that have both the same interests AND schedule as you - because you simply wouldn’t have met them there if that weren’t the case! We’ve found that some studios are much easier than others when it comes to finding & clicking with people … So we’ve broken down some of the best studios out there for FINDING FRIENDS.
— ⭐️ @DANCEBODY. — So many friendly regulars here (I know I’m solo in this pic, but swear I’ve met some great peeps💁🏼♀️👯♀️).
⭐️ @TONEHOUSE. — If you dare… trust me when I say you’ll go to hell + back with these people... after a round of gallops they may just become your new bffs.
⭐️ @SOULCYCLE. — Le duh. This place pretty much invented in-studio friends.
⭐️ @305FITNESS. — You’re basically dancing at the club with them anyway … may as well get their number.
⭐️ @FLYWHEELSPORTS. — V friendly studio! Maybe it’s because free fruit puts everyone in a good mood. But even in the barre classes, I’ve had some great chats with my mat neighbors.
⭐️ @SOLIDCORE. — They really encourage teamwork here, so when they say high 5 your neighbor, do it!
⭐️ @SWERVEFITNESS. — You get placed on teams in this class, so it’s very group (+ friend) oriented.
⭐️ @SWITCHPLAYGROUND. — If you get paired with the right person (workout is done in partner sets), there’s definitely an opportunity for friendship (or maybe even a date, who knows!).
⭐️ INSTRUCTOR-BASED CLASSES. — Usually those who frequent classes like Jabs By Gina (@ginadinapolieqx), Sculpt Society (@thesculptsociety), Housework with @sydmiller, @amandaklootsfitness, etc. are SUPER loyal. Some of the strongest community vibes out there. —
Any we missed? Can be in another city, too! Let us know. xx #ssssweats
