  • Welcome to Lying Dragon Mountain in Ninh BΓ¬nh, Vietnam! πŸ‡»πŸ‡³ πŸ‰ πŸ‡»πŸ‡³β›° WOULD YOU HIKE over 500 steps to get here!? Another awesome hike amongst the insanely cool natural scenery of Vietnam. I don’t know what attracts dogs to me in Vietnam but yet another companion hiked up this mountain w/ us again! πŸ• πŸ• πŸ• πŸ• πŸ• πŸ• πŸ• πŸ• Started the sunrise hike right away through what’s known as Mua Caves at the base of the mountain (which are actually amazingly cold in the hot humid environment since cool air gets stuck inside!) After the bliss of a refrigerated cave comes a 500 stair steep hike to the top though... and let me tell you this was a hell of a hike during the summer heat! The stairs aren’t leveled and cracked a lot of the way up but we finally made it to the top and our jaws dropped at the views! The dog was also happy to be up but I think more so because he was looking for snacks tourist left behind up there for temple offerings! πŸ˜‚ there’s a 360 degree view from the shrine at the top... the valley with a river flowing through the steep limestone mountains surrounding us as well as the rice fields! Funny enough nearly fainted going down as it was about 40c/100f degrees with the sun blaring down on me but all worth this view! Am I right!? πŸ“TIP: There’s a small local stand half way up that sells water etc so if you want to be hands free on the hike just bring a few $$ along. I literally poured one bottle on my head and drank another while the locals looked at me like a crazy person...Good times! πŸ˜‚πŸ’¦πŸ₯΅πŸ’§πŸ₯› πŸ“Έ: @dianamiaus
