Back shooting at the Black Church at snafellsnes peninsula, Iceland.

Totally different conditions to my last two visits, resulting in unique shots. Scroll back two shots in my feed to see the blue sky shot from last visit.

Spending time at a cabin of my own is a dream come true. I recently partnered with @nikonusa to create multiple films using their new #Z6 full-frame 4k mirrorless camera.

This thing is an absolute video workhorse. The 5 axis stabilization is perfect for run and gun shooting and allows you to capture silky smooth footage at any given moment while the new #NIKKOR Z lens gives you a beautiful cinematic look at any aperture.

This camera was created for the modern film maker.

One of England's greatest living photographers, Sir Don McCullin began to learn his craft during national service in Egypt and Kenya, where he was deployed in a unit that processed aerial reconnaissance.

He took himself to Berlin when the wall was being built in 1961, snapping American troops at Checkpoint Charlie.

Then he went to war, largely for the Sunday Times. “I’ve been with all kinds of murderers in my life,” Sir Don says; “men killing people in front of me, just because they like killing people.” Soon he eschewed the “flags and bugles and Napoleonic stuff”, focusing instead on civilians, who always suffered most.

In his images of conflict there is often a sense of life interrupted.

Bystanders peek from doorways. Relatives mourn.

A comprehensive retrospective exhibition of Sir Don’s work at Tate Britain in London opens on February 5th and runs until May 6th 2019.

We believe in making something once. Everything we produce is an investment. The same as a vintage Burgundy would be. Our products only get better as they age. And they are only as good as the people who make them and the materials used.

Take this Westminster strap for instance. The leather has been lovingly processed in a 5 story factory dedicated to this single leather. And it’s one of the finest in the world: Horween Chromexcel.
Pair that with stainless steel split rings and tough polyester thread, stitched in a workshop that has more than 200 years experience in making leathergoods, and you get one of our straps.
We’re proud of the products we produce and we’re proud of the people who make them for us. It’s our passion and the only thing we want to do.

So the next time you pick up one of our products and smell the leather that was specially picked out for us by our friends @aacrack remember how many craftspeople went into making it and what that means to so many people.
