  • First five mile today! Considering I never run anymore, I am super proud I was able to have a 9:20 pace. Mostly because @annareibs was a great friend and coach and helped me warmup and ran back after finishing to keep me from stopping at the end. My goal was just to not stop and walk. And I only stopped one brief moment to try and breathe, gave up and kept going 🤣 Sometimes running isn’t so bad 🤷🏼‍♀️ until about 4.5 miles anyways 🤢 lol thank you @kat___t for taking my boys on the 5k. I appreciate you 💜My little Levi impressed me and ran the whole time! #runforriley is always a great race! #ittakesavillage #anytimegtown #runfam #first5mile

  • So I Set a new PR on my squat today. Shoutout to my hubs @calebschane for always having my back (quite literally lol) and @megan_me_fit for screaming and cheering me on! (Watch out if your volumes on 🤣) The reason this is so exciting is because I haven’t done more than a horrible 235 since my powerlifting competition in April where I really injured my injury 🤣 so I’ve been rehabbing and retraining with my squats and they have been slowly getting better. But today was the day! Not only did I go up in weight but now I am doing a horrible 275!!! 🤣 definitely still going to work on that form but horrible 300 here I come 💪🏻😉! #powerlifting #strongwomen #afstrong #squats

  • Thanks for the company during this killer leg workout @jgraff0713 💪🏻 we tried out some new variations today. I’ve never really pulled sumo so it was interesting but I had fun with it. We did 2 sets of 10 sumo, 2 sets of 10 1 & 1/2 rep sumo, and 2 sets of 10 paused sumo. Then we tried the Anderson squats and those were really challenging! Definitely felt those in my quads and by like two 7 could barely get up. Finished up with some lunges holding the 60lb KB which was brutal but I loved it!! Workouts that make me want to die are my favorite!! #firsttimesumo #strongissexy #legday #strongwomen #gluttonforpunishment

  • After spending the last few months trying to rehab my hip and really focusing on squat form, I finally feel like I’m making progress. I was able to rep 185 until my form would start to get compromised and then stop. Just to see if I could I tried to front squat 185 and I was able to do it 3 times! I also was able to have some fun and feel some heavy weight again with my deadlift. Came in to lift with some of my best gym peeps (my favorite one, my hubs, was working) and I ended up pulling 315 for the first time since my powerlifting competition. It’s good to finally be healthy enough to start lifting heavy again. #progress #practicesafesets #thatfrontsquattho #powerliftingwomen #strongwomen #singlelegsquat 🤣 #flexfriday

  • I read this the other day and it really resonated with me. No one really does post their failures and why not? We all fail, that’s how we get better. So I want to try and embrace my failures by celebrating the fact that I can even try. So bench press is probably my favorite exercise (I will pick bench over anything, any day lol) but for months I haven’t been able to break 160 😤it’s been super aggravating to go in every week feeling awesome and thinking tonight’s the night, only to be knocked down a peg by the same weight. One of my favorite exercises has quickly became my nemesis but I don’t want it to be any longer. So I’m posting my failures. Not once but twice I failed but I won’t let it stop me. I’m going to stop trying to break my PR every week and just go back to loving my bench press and loving all my lifts. So to keep momentum going I went in for an early Friday back workout. Really enjoying my back workouts lately and the muscles gains. Couldn’t get nearly as many gains without my rule 1 from @fort_wayne_completehealth_shop #nevergiveup #failuretothrive #strongwomen
