Did you know that the types of foods you eat actually signal your body to burn or store fat or to make you feel full or 😋 ? YES!!! #Protein actually influences the release of #hormones that control your appetite and food intake. .
Today on my IG story I talk about the hormones insulin and glucagon and how having a balance of these hormones is essential to prevent fat storage🤓. Of course daily exercise plays a role in this as well! Here are some of my favorite breakfasts to prevent insulin dominance in your body. This will help you stay full AND signal your brain to release body fat by stabilizing insulin levels and proving glucagon production! Remember when glucagon is dominant our body goes into 'fat release' mode (heck yes please!) and this gives our body energy by releasing glucose and stored fat🔥🧡

Try this for meal #1:

My Green Crepe/Waffle - 2 whole eggs, 5 egg whites, 1 tbsp chia, 1/2 scoop whey or collagen protein powder, 1 cup spinach. Blend and pour into a sprayed waffle iron.

Nut Butter Shake - 1 cup unsweetened almond milk, ice 1 tbsp natural nut butter, 2 oz avocado & 1 scoop whey or collagen protein powder.

Protein Power - 4 oz mixed chicken, veggies and top with salsa and plain greek yogurt. .
*IF you're exercising AFTER meal 1 is the only time I wouldn't apply this rule as you're going to need some low GI carbs before and after your workout. .

Remember guys insulin isn't harmful except if we're constantly in insulin dominance because of eating too many carbs😢. Always drop your carbs in before and after your workouts to make sure you're using that #glucose! I'm not promoting cutting #carbs or going keto here - I'm a huge advocate of carbs! We're after a BALANCE here. My point being is we can use nutrients to in our food to help us achieve our goals🥇. Something to look at if you aren't seeing results. .
