Lobster Roll or Clobster grilled cheese?! 🦞🦀
Slapfish is probably the only spot in San Jose that sells such high quality lobster rolls and clobster grilled cheeses!
Still thinking of that lobster and crab grilled cheese 🧀🤤 and that loaded lobster roll!

My name is Cameron (22) and I’m from San Jose, CA. I enrolled in the MoveU Program in August 2017 because of lower back pain. I was diagnosed with things such as Bertolotti’s syndrome, having transitional vertebra, a disc bulge, and a disc herniation. All of these terms were thrown around loosely in an attempt to explain why I was feeling pain at such a young age.
I tried altering my workouts by doing “safer” exercises with lower weight to work around the pain. However, this didn’t work and the pain soon became intolerable, leaving me unable to get out of bed or tie my shoes without a stab in the leg. It took me out of the gym completely. I took my frustration out at home and on others and often wondered, “why me?”. Looking for answers to my pain, I went to a chiropractor. My experience there would push me toward MoveU – I just didn’t know it yet.
On the first day, I got my many diagnoses. I was told to never squat, deadlift, or row again. “Don’t sit on couches. Don’t workout more than you need to or you’ll become depressed. You were born with this rare condition.” I showed my brother the report from the chiropractor and cried. He didn’t allow me to believe that this was the truth and I threw out the papers. I refused to accept someone telling me that I was basically “broken” and couldn’t be fixed.
I found MoveU a week later through IG and enrolled in the program because their words resonated with me. It was exactly what I was looking to hear but hadn’t found anywhere in the medical system.
After going through the program, my pain was completely gone within 4-6 months. I improved the control and awareness that I have over my body and have been able to do all of the things the doctors once told me I could no longer do. I am back to swimming, running, doing CrossFit, and have picked up new interests in gymnastics and slack-lining.
We must not live with fear and make excuses. Rather, we must learn about our body and work hard to improve it. This program and community taught me that so much more is possible than you could ever imagine, and it starts all up at the top with a killer mindset.

Proud to say I've been working my butt off in the office, in the gym, and in my down-time. This is eons away from the level of productivity I was at in the 2nd half of 2018. I wasn't able to manage my job, the gym, or even my personal life then.
I'm in a better place now because I discovered what ACTUAL self-care is. It's not all bubble baths, face masks, and Netflix binges (though a nice sprinkling of all this is nice). TRUE self-care results in long-term wellbeing and honestly isn't cute most of the time lol. It’s shit like regulating your sleep schedule. It’s breaking up with a toxic friend who’s dragging you down. It’s finally scheduling that appointment with a therapist. It’s anything you do that actually sets you up for success.
If you want to read more on this, you’re in luck cause I’ll be launching my blog in the next week 🤩 Stay tuned! In the meantime, please feel free to drop a comment here on a topic you’d like me to write about. IG is too image-focused for me to dive as deep as I’d like to 💖
