Camera: Canon EOS-1D X Mark II
.
Lens: Canon EF800mm f/5.6L IS USM
.
White Balance: 5800K in Manual Mode
.
Aperture: f5.6
The lowest f number works fine in most of the cases for wildlife photography.
.
Shutter Speed: 1/125
I should have increased the ISO to get a faster shutter speed. But for this still image, this will do.
.
ISO: 2500
I adjust the ISO to get a particular shutter speed for the lowest aperture I have kept. For such high ISO I was getting a shutter speed of 1/125. Such low was the light. I could have increased the ISO.
.
Metering Mode: Evaluative / Matrix / Segment Metering .
.
Exposure Compensation: -2/3 or -0.7
Since I am shooting in evaluative metering mode, the overall tonality of the background is a bit dark and hence underexposed a bit.
.
Focusing Mode: AI Servo using BBF.
.
Focusing Points: I Used single point AF point.
.
Composition: I used a 800mm to get an extreme close-up of just the hand. It's not always necessary to show the full subject. Zoom in completely, it's ok.
