Freedom is in our mind,
Faith is in our words,
Pride is in our souls,
Innumerable courageous souls laid down their lives so that our country can celebrate this day.Never forget their sacrifices, let's salute their courage and remember them everyday and not just one single day.
Wishing all a very Happy Independence Day.
Celebrating 72 years of Independence (throwback from 15th aug 2019)
On the fabulous occasion of India's 73rd independence day I was honored to be a guest at the Indian Embassy in Paris. 🇮🇳Following the flag hoisting I had a wonderful discussion over breakfast with the Indian Ambassador to France His Excellency Mr. Vinay Mohan Kwatra about improving Mental health in young Kashmir..... I congratulate the Embassy for hosting an economic forum exclusively for the youth of Kashmir, this forum will help young Kashmiris chase their dreams and make Maa Bharat proud.... Rest of the day was well spent interacting with the vibrant Indian diaspora .... 🤔 how can I forget my engagement with the Eiffel Tower & Paris 😍... Thank you Mr Naman Upadhyay,IFS (2nd secretary) and Mr Vijay Pandey,IFS (3rd secretary) for playing wonderful host at the the Embassy. #globeforchange #73rdIndependenceDay #72yearsofIndependence #GFCforKashmir #GFCinParis #YIOinParis
Credits - @wanihareshwar

Saffron stands for...? The yearly ritual of Her freedom festivity begins—
The class roars.
Thirty little born-frees waiting for a nod, a cue from her vacant adult eyes.
Three sixty five days of seventy three years on her mind.
She recalls the fate of every woman—
Since India's tryst with freedom,
Forced to pocket those fettered qualifiers—
The pepper sprays of performance and unfreedom
Courage in the streets at night, Strength in broad daylight,
Sacrifices at home to escape the metal like taste of her rowdy man's might.
From the far end of the room, a little boy languidly replied—
Peace and truth.
He had lost both,
The day he bartered learning with factory labour, peace with half truths
Whilst his mother dreams of his future bright—
Those ink stained fingers now stitch patent leather shoes —
His criminal late nights garbed in a new truth.
Green...? What about the green?
Thirty empty stomachs could not reply.
Green has names—
Some call it abundance, some faith.
The class had none.
For it hadn't rained in three years—
And nothing had since been done. (Published in #NewAsianWriting on the occasion of India's 73rd #independenceday )
In the true spirit of upholding a global culture, Firstsourcers in the Philippines and India celebrated India’s Independence Day. They came dressed in traditional Indian outfits with temporary Mehendi tattoo’s on their hands! #IndependenceDay
Independence Day was celebrated in School of Scholars, Akola with great splendor, joy and patriotism on 15th August 2019 as a homage to mother India and its martyr sons. The school programme began with the unfurling of National Flag with the hands of our chief guest Captain Ashok Gawai from Indian Army. All present during the ceremony gave salutation and sang National Anthem. #IndependenceDayCelebration#73rdIndependenceDay#15august#india#freedom
Independence Day is one of the biggest patriotic days for any country. It is really important that ‘every generation’ must know about the struggle of our martyrs, freedom fighters and how precious this independence is.
Throwback to such an activity conducted at Gopal Sharma Blooming Buds where children celebrated 73rd Independence Day. We are proud to be born Indians!
