Pupils were rewarded for their efforts and academic improvement by our Founder and Chairman, @mohanvalrani, CEO, @navinvalrani, Principal, @principalbeale, and Head of Islamic Studies, Mufida Al Digeil, at the Islamic Awards Event.
Meet Bishoy Azmy, our fourth and final judge for the upcoming Junior MBA Business Plan Competition taking place on the 23rd of March!
Bishoy is the CEO of ASGC Group. He joined the business from 17 years and got into management just over a decade ago. ASGC has become a multidisciplinary construction service platform, based out of Dubai but aspiring to grow to various markets.
He has a Bachelors in Construction Engineering from The American University in Cairo, a Masters in Construction Management from the University of Bath and an EMBA from London Business School.
Meet Hala Ghandour, our third judge for the upcoming Junior MBA Business Plan Competition taking place on the 23rd of March!
Hala most recently served as Chief of Staff for Her Royal Highness Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein, overseeing a portfolio of global humanitarian and healthcare initiatives. Prior to this, Hala served as the Chief Development Officer for Expo 2020 Dubai, the first World Expo to be held in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia region.
She has also held a number of positions in the UAE government, including Head of Corporate Development in His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum's Executive Office and subsequently as the Director of Development in the Minister of State's Office. Hala holds a BA in Economics from Wellesley College and an MBA from Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
Meet Iyad Malas, our second judge for the upcoming Junior MBA Business Plan Competition taking place on the 23rd of March!
Mr. Malas is currently a partner in Gateway Partners, a Private Equity firm focused on investing in South East Asia, South Asia, the Middle East and Africa, with offices in Dubai and Singapore. Prior to that, he was Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Majid Al Futtaim Holding, the largest developer and operator of Shopping malls, Hypermarkets and Leisure and Entertainment in the MENA region.
Mr. Malas holds an MBA from George Washington University in Washington DC, as well as a BA from the American University of Beirut. He is qualified as a Chartered Financial Analyst.
Meet @aakankshatangri, one of our judges for the upcoming Junior MBA Business Plan Competition taking place on the 23rd of March!
Aakanksha, a graduate of Columbia University, is the founding editor-in-chief of Re:Set, a soon-to-launch online publication focusing on resources and stories around education, parenting, mental health, well-being, and inclusivity.
She worked at VICE for three years where she produced over a hundred stories, worked on documentaries, wrote feature stories and hosted on-camera. Aakanksha has worked on interviews with chef Anthony Bourdain, poet Rupi Kaur, and Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau. Prior to joining VICE, Aakanksha was at CNN.

Today we welcomed Emirati Entrepreneur Shaima Al Shirawi, Founder of Miyabi Sushi, as part of Arcadia's Entrepreneurial Series under our Junior MBA programme. She presented a wonderful insight into her career, and showed our pupils the art of making sushi with the help of her Master Chef!
Our annual International Day took place today and was a culturally enriching experience for everyone involved. Pupils, parents, teachers and staff came to school dressed in traditional clothing and enjoyed in-class activities, tasty dishes from all around the world and a colorful parade.
