We are headed to Lincoln City Oregon next week for a family vacation. Boy have we missed the ocean!
We found a few different doggie daycares with awesome reviews that we can leave our at while we go out crabbing on the boat.
Sam had to go get her Bordetella vaccination...so she's not SUPER happy with me at the moment. 😂
Home stretch for Palo finishing up some stranger protocols with him with some kids doing some strange things with the basketball 🤦🏾♂️ I'm assuming they consider dribbling. On another note Palo is simply focused on laying relaxed in place his only job here. We've shown him that he can trust that his handler will control the situation around him relieving him of making bad choices when he's uncomfortable. His owners will also have the tools to help him through his struggles.

Best friends? Our dogs that have learned to exist around other dogs? ~
Every single dog that comes in here, yep, I say it all the time, learns to exist around other dogs no matter the issue. Why? There's just absolutely no way in the world you can avoid encountering another dog in the real world. ~
How can we have 8 dogs calm in place and not have a royal rumble? E-collar? Fear? Nope, training. We literally spend every day, no matter what new skill dogs learn that day, teach them to do nothing. It's a skill every dog should learn on command. ~

I don't want to speculate or anything, but Palo's owners 🤭 came into work with him today, kids and all. Big family affair. ~
Walks with Palo were hell for this family. Why? He was super nervous around new people and that's one thing you can't always avoid. ~
Palo has a week left so we wanted to bring the family in to get comfortable with the new information that we've been sharing with him. Also to get the kids in a better space with him as well.

Palo has opened up a ton these last two weeks going from extremely nervous around me to enjoying every interaction we have. Not only do dogs get bored from ONLY doing obedience but so do we as humans. Don't be afraid to enjoy yourself when teaching your pet.
