“Wild hearts find a home in every place they roam...” ~ C. Churchill
Alas, our time in the NT has come to an end, at least for now.
We came here purely on a whim and arrived with few plans and fewer expectations, and hence were completely thrown by what we found.
Some of the things that stood out about the Top End:
↠ It was greener than expected. Like a tropical oasis a lot of the time.
↠ Birds of prey seem to be the NTs version of pigeons - they’re everywhere. 🦅
↠ We came during the burn-off season and were startled by the number of times we drove through kms of still-flickering scrub. 🔥 Coming from Vic even a small unattended bushfire can be devastating and deadly, so learning to ignore the flames was strange.
↠ Finding free camps was easy, buying alcohol less so.
↠ There are SO many water sources, some swimmable, some not-so-much. 🐊
Thanks so much for the memories NT, we’ll most definitely be back!
Now it’s onto our next state, any guess where?
(Not much of a guess, it’s sort of in our bio. 😂)
Local Honey 🍯 .
Honey has a power house of healing properties. .
My grandma would always say, if you have allergies you should eat your local honey, as the local bees use the pollens from that environment. 🐝
I have the most amazing clients and customers and I even receive gifts! So far since I've been open here in Darwin I've received Cuddles, Cakes, Crystals, Chakra Tree of Life hand painted rocks, paintings, all sorts of art, plants, flowers, champagne and yesterday I received this most amazing home made brownie rocky road slice like whoa ... I haven't had a chance to try it until today and I'm flying high as a kite on sugar with giggles but hey its not like I eat this sort of thing everyday so who cares cause its damn yummy but you know what's best
