#DidYouKnow when #TomPetty was just 11 years old, his entire life changed when he met the icon #ElvisPresley ? Apparently, Elvis was nearby shooting a film as he pulled up in a while Cadillac as hundreds of fans stood-by. He later recounted the experience in an interview “He stepped out radiant as an angel. He seemed to glow and walk above the ground. It was like nothing I'd ever seen in my life. At 50 yards, we were stunned by what this guy looked like. And he came walking right towards us," remembered Petty, who stayed on set to watch the filming for the rest of the day. He was smitten by all of it — the cars, the fans, but mostly Elvis's swagger.
This is the happiest day of my life as a record collector my hands are shaking. I am in complete shock. TODAY I found 1 of the rarest records in the world & it does not come without a backstory and a little help from my friends. Today I found the first recordings of Elvis Presley's 10" "my happiness" What ia crazy is that they we're all thought to have been lost years ago in a huge fire. Only a few have ever been found after and not only is it from these First Recording sessions but it is still sealed in the record stations cellophane plastic & original sleeve.BUT THE STORY BEHIND THIS RECORD that brought me HERE IS MORE SO RARE ITSELF.
This begins with Mr. Jack White from The White Stripes a man who i truly respect a very talented musician & artist 2 say the least. But strangely Jacks & his music plays a very important part in this story & in my life as a musician painter and collector. I have learned a lot of my guitar playing style and finger pickin mechanics from him. I've always understood his music & direction of mind in a way that aligns with my own. He his always evolving in music where I learned that it doesn't matter what guitar you have or how fancy it is or even what instrument you have at hand. YOU PLAY IT PERFECT IT-BREAK IT AND REBUILD IT BETTER THEN BEFORE.Dont let anyone stop you or tell you how something should sound. THIS IS A CODE I embrace.Jack was truly the first person to really introduce me to Elvis Presley and I'm talking about his roots the rare and unknown early yrs of the most important iconic figure in music history & our lifes still today. I learned over the years his hunger for knowledge of music from the past especially Elvis that would lead to the hunt for the original Elvis Presley recordings. Jack eventually found this record the actual first one ever recorded and purchased it for around $10,000 making it the most expensive record bought todate. This Record is from that same collection and is one of the last known ones too exist so truly thank you Jack for everything.
