Would you rather—own hundreds of mediocre books, or own less than 20 favorites?
I would definitely own less than 20 favorites. If a book is wonderful, I can re-read it over and over again and never get sick of it. 💕 Happy Tuesday everyone! I’m currently at the coffee shop working on my WIP (what else is new?!) and drinking too much coffee. I hope you all have a wonderful day!
Happy Monday friends 💕 what are you most excited for this week? I have someone coming to clean my house this afternoon and I’m SO excited! Does that make me a real adult? 🤣 I’m about 50 pages into Middlegame and loving it so far but it’s due back to the library in 2 days so I have no idea how I’m going to finish it before then! 😬 Less sleep more reading? I guess we’ll see! 📚

Happy Saturday 💕 we’re just having a lazy day over here so I don’t have much to say but I hope everyone is having a great weekend!
🇬🇧 *Happily walking to a depression state after reading LEGENDARY* 🎩
Ahem, I'd like to thank the awesome @stephanie_garber
for writing such good books and taking us to Caraval once again 🎪
Also, thank you for these beautiful beautiful hopes you create then CRUSH like it's nothing and for RIPING OUR HEARTS out of us ☺️ Seriously tho, Legendary was incredibly good (as good as Caraval - and we sometimes are disappointed by sequels but it's NOT true here 😍) : the plot was crazy as hell, the characters were absolutely perfect, I wish I had Scar and Tella's dresses, the game itself was completely magic, the plotwist killed me and we cannot help but want to hop in Caraval ! 🌟
The Caraval series is quickly making its way to my favorite series ever ♥️
I'd happily talk about it in the comments, please let me know I'm not the only broken soul out there 🤣 *Sobs in corner*
Okay, give me Finale now. .
“Leave him out of this”Bey said.”You have problem with me bringing him up?”James taunted.”Again my family doesn’t concern you, especially my husband”Bey said waving him off.”He’s so great but he let you come up here by yourself wearing this?”James asked undressing her with his eyes.”He knows I can handle myself”Bey said.Bey tried again to move past him but with one push her back was slamming into the shelf behind them sending pain up her back as she tried to process his move.”Where is he now?”James asked as he grabbed her hair by the root sending her head back.”You’re a pathetic excuse of a man if you’re going to fight a pregnant woman”Bey spat as she pushed him away as best as she could.”You think I care about this baby?”he laughed as he palmed her belly.”Don’t touch him”Bey said as she grabbed his wrist to keep him from pressing down too hard.”A boy huh?Congrats”He said sarcastically before he backhanded her. That was all the motivation Bey needed to fight back getting a few good hits in before he slammed her head into the wall making her slightly disoriented but she knew she couldn’t give up.”Okay!”Bey pleaded as she moved to protect her belly.”Call him”James said handing her his phone as he gripped her neck.”Who?”Bey Asked Before she felt his grip tighten.Jays number was her last call so it took no time for his phone to ring.Bey tried to control her breathing as his phone continued to ring. When it went to voicemail Bey felt her head drop in defeat.”Isn’t that a shame”James said tossing her phone.”Please”Bey said as she tried to loosen his grip.”If he starts anything with me I’m finishing what I started”He said before letting her go roughly.Bey grabbed her phone and stumbled out of his office into one of the bathrooms to clean up.She couldn’t let Rumi see her like this, her makeup was smudged from the tears that had fallen when Jay didn’t answer, her mouth was bleeding, and her hair was a mess. With shaky hands she raked through her hair as strands fell out into the sink.Rinsing her mouth out she gave herself 5 seconds to cry before she dried her face.”Youre okay”Bey said as she rubbed her belly to calm the storm of kicks from her son #fiction

EF27 (BTP-EF8): Who are You and is it Possible to Upgrade Your Identity as an Adult? — Behind the Podcast of Episode EF8. EF27 is a Behind The Podcast of Episode EF8 (Without a Compass: All Who Sail the Seas of Identity Are Not Lost). The driving question of this episode is ... Can you change your identity? Or the shorter philosophical classic, who are you? Although you know your name, vital statistics, and other necessary information — you likely still ask yourself from time to time 'who am I?' What do we mean when we ask this seemingly simple, but infinitely deep, question? And is it possible that the answer could change over time, implying that your identity can evolve?⠀
It was almost midnight. Everyone was asleep except Bhaskar. He was thinking about the incident that took place. He heard some weird noise from the tent. He went in the tent and started searching where the noise came from. He heard someone vomiting. Suddenly, he felt a hand on his shoulder. He was scared for a moment.
It was Rhea with a water bottle and a sleepy face. It was Kriya who was vomiting. Rhea went back to her tent. Kriya was fed up of vomiting and didn't know why was this happening. The levels of 'high' were dropping now. Bhaskar tried to calm her down and gave her some lemon. She decided not to have alcohol ever again.
They both sat down there for a few minutes. She said that this was on her wish-list too. Bhaskar asked you wanted to have a date like this? To which she replied that she doesn't always think about dates.
He stood up, forwarding his hand and asked her to get back to her tent and sleep. He was almost asleep. They bid Good Night to each other and went to sleep. The next day was up now.
Everyone was behaving weird with Kriya asked Rhea about it. Rhea told her everything about last night. After listening to all the stuff, Kriya was shocked and embarrassed too.
In a 2016 interview, author Daniel Silva named Barley Blair, “the boozy publisher-turned-spy in John le Carré’s ‘The Russia House’”, as one of his favorite fictional heroes.
Now, on the 30th anniversary of that classic thriller, @danielsilvabooks has released “The New Girl”, an instant NYT #1 bestseller, his latest and 19th adventure with Gabriel Allon, my favorite spy hero.
I just finished it and it’s obvious why so many readers and critics compare Silva to le Carré, the dean of the genre. And if le Carré is the dean then Silva is certainly a renowned professor.

I wouldn’t consider SJM one of my favorites anymore, but I do have a soft spot in my heart for her work. Both her series were my reintroductions to YA and adult fantasy and I don’t think I’d be the reader I am today without them🌿
❓no QOTD, but I do want you to tell me something. Anything.
you’re pulling on puppet strings
that don’t hold me anymore,
and i’m looking for faded footprints
you left at my door.
but you cant hurt someone
that really wants you to,
and i cant open my eyes
cause yours stitched them through.
i’m a mess of a lover
with a persistence to stay away,
you’re fool’s gold waiting
for me to fall prey.
and i guess i’d like to admit
i never learn from heavy rain,
it comes and goes away,
and the same i remain.
if i do special things
would that make me look absurd?
‘cause you’re making me lose my mind
without saying a single word.
then i try to stay away
just for the sake of my own peace,
it doesn’t effect you in any way
but i come crawling on my knees.
so i guess it’s safe to say
you mean more than what you are,
it’s not just the curly hair
its your aura from afar.
it’s official you’re my weakness
and I’m just a short term run,
you’ll try me on like a dress
and then on to the next one.
but it wasnt meant to be easy
for the fragile souls,
memories come in stabs
and piercing bullet holes.
scarlet red lands
and a gold pumpkin sky,
bright leaves start to fall
and so do i.
its my favourite time of the year
where everything falls apart,
and reminds me why hurt is necessary
to create the best of art.
and i’m happy love cuts through
me every single time,
because atleast i get to love
even if it isnt always mine.

Do you ever go to the library thinking of picking up just ONE book? And then come out with multiple instead? 😂 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀
At this point, the usual run through my head - “Oh no, can I finish this in three weeks?” “Man, this stuff is heavy WITH STORIES TO READ” “so excited” “oh gad what have i done” “Oh yay so many things to read” “WILL I HAVE ANY SLEEP IF I START ONE TONIGHT”
Truth be told, Broken Thrones by Victoria Aveyard arrived in the mail and I’m thinking of starting it tonight ( ◠‿◠ )

Title: The Last Avatar (Age of Kalki #1 )
Author: Vishwas Mudagal
Genre: Mythology, Sci-Fic
Though it feels like all the Indian Mythological books are being written on the same topics now a days, what is satisfactory is the fact that atleast they are written well. The Last Avatar, the first book in the Age of Kalki trilogy is an action packed thriller kind of book, which is full of modern world technology, terrorism, politics, romance and much more which makes it a multi genre concept collectively. Book is written in a very easy language with equally simple narration, which some may find appreciable while other may find it amateur. For me it was actually appreciable because first it's mythology and when you combine it with heavy diction it really gets hard to read it in a go. So I prefer light vocabulary when it comes to mythology or thriller as it makes my reading progression fluent. And not to forget to add, the cover of the book is absolutely gorgeous and I am glad I could get a good click.
Coming to the story part, the protagonists are 'Neel' known as 'Kalki' a shadow warrior, a savior of modern India, and 'Nushen' known as the goddess of China, born as an experiment, a hardcore war-machine and a genetically superior human. In near future, where advancement was spread in all field, a terrorist group, Invisible Hand, wanted to enslave the whole world under their knees. They had expanded their roots in almost all countries. They possessed some deadly knowledge stolen from an ancient cult and it's scripture. The book started with a semi-chaotic situation of global politics. China was being ruled by a maniac & puppet of Invisible hand, name Jian, who followed the principal of Genghis Khan. Possible threats to his plan were Kalki & Nushen, who ran away from his clutches the moment he came to the ruling position in China. Read the book to know more.
