1 bunch fresh basil
1/4 cup pine nuts
1/2 lemon juice
1/4 cup olive oil
2 cloves garlic
2 tbsp nutritional yeast
Salt + pepper
Mix in a blender until smooth. Add a little more olive oil depending on how smooth you want it to be. Enjoy! Happy Wednesday everyone 😁

  • ✨Hi friends! Here is my life update! As some of you may already know, I have always had a love for health & fitness. I decided now is the time to take the plunge and dive deep in becoming an influencer & a motivator for other women just like me!

This year my boyfriend got deployed soon after we had just moved in together. I am a FIRM believer that everything happens for a reason. So I asked myself, “what is this reason on a deeper level for this timing, why right now?” Not only has our relationship together gotten STRONGER with distance, but so have I!

This year is all about self love and motivating others to become the best versions of themselves! I’ve found myself & a new happiness over the years involving health & fitness.

  • Boundaries are important as they allow us to establish the life we want to lead. 
Not everything that comes our way is for us, as we don't need to take on everything that we or other people offer or send out. 
Decide what you want in life. 
An easy way to confirm this for yourself is when something is happening -focus on your heart ♥ space, if it is happy then you are in alignment with it,  if it doesn't make you happy make a decision for yourself to either move yourself away from it or set a boundary so that you are empowered in the situation. 
A boundary is not necessary a block.  When we block something or someone the energy around it is still there, yet setting a boundary is establishing what you will do and be in that situation moving forward and be a stand for that. 
When you change others can no longer remain the same. 
Boundary setting is something that often comes up in my clinic with clients in their sessions. Clients giving themselves permission to set boundaries and setting them is empowering.

  • Say hello to my little friend named scalpel! 😷😅🥼🧠 Tonight I passed my neurosurgical neuroanatomy exam! I took a close look under the microscope at the Basal Ganglia of the brain, the Pons, Amygdala and the cerebrovascular structures! Including the Corpus callosum and the Optic chiasm! 🔬 Such an intense day! You gotta love the UW purple surgical gloves! I’m glad I was able to get some photos for you guys! #UW 📚

I am often
hit with negativity
—negative news, negative perspectives, negative vibes
from pessimistic people
that it might seem next to impossible
to continue on
with a positive spirit.
.
Instead of getting stuck
in the negativity,
I turn to those optimistic people
who have figured out
how to see the brighter side of life
and remain positive
no matter what…
so I can learn to do the same.

Spread the 💜.
Detach from negative individuals
that bring you down.

  • I know that a lot of you guys have asked me about the leather bracelet I’m seen wearing in a lot of photos, like this one! What’s the story behind it? There’s really no story! A while ago my parents both went on a trip and ended up getting it for me! So I always wear it! Even with surgical gloves 😂 🧤💪🏻🤙🏻🥼 I hope everyone is having a wonderful Monday! Keep studying! 😄📚

High doses of calcium or other minerals (including magnesium, certain forms of iron, and zinc) from supplements may decrease the absorption of carotenoids, such as beta-carotene, lycopeneand astaxanthin, from foods and/or supplements. It is best to take carotenoid supplements at a different time of day than a supplement or meal containing large amounts of a mineral (e.g., hundreds of milligrams of calcium or magnesium).
Some vitamins can actually enhance the absorption of other nutrients. Vitamin C, for example, can enhance iron absorption from supplements and plant foods.
