Signs that Look-A like, but are Different
Learning sign language can sometimes be tricky. There are some signs that look very similar, but are different. Go at your own pace and keep up the good work! ...There are still words that I am learning (or forget how to sign). Don’t give up! .
On May 23rd, IBCSD held a discussion with BAPPENAS regarding the Voluntary National Report and how private sectors can contribute best, with the most suitable incentive they can get. The discussion was engaging Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti (Staf Ahli Menteri PPN Bidang Sinergi Ekonomi dan Pembiayaan). In additional for this member exclusive only meeting, our partner, GRI is also had a presentation on the GRI matrix/platform for the report.

Today marks the start of National Reconciliation Week (NRW) May 27 - June 3.
NRW is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia.
This year’s theme is “Grounded in Truth: Walk Together with Courage”. Reconciliation must live in the hearts, minds and actions of all Australians as we move forward, creating a nation strengthened by respectful relationships between the wider Australian community and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Make reconciliation part of your story and your future.
Shine up your cowboy boots, throw on some glitter and join us in celebrating the members of our community who have made immense contributions this past year. Enjoy the musical stylings of Canadian country singer Patrick Masse, local honky tonky icon Shaela Miller and piano extraordinare Bente Hanson.
#ATSA2019 and #ATSNZ2019 were huge events for Invacare Australia/New Zealand. We won the Best Large Stand award, and met with many of our wonderful community. This video takes a brief look at our brand, products and our people, at these exciting events. Enjoy!

I have found solace in this book. Reading this book truly helps me to better understand how we have evolved as a society when it comes to special needs members of our community. This book begins discussing one family’s journey in the early 1900s, before autism was even a diagnosis. They felt isolated, ashamed, guilt, and many other negative emotions. This book truly speaks to me because being a special needs parent can feel isolating at times and the more we can create an inclusive community, the stronger we will be. #SpecialNeedsParent#Inclusive#autismawareness#adhdawareness

The Coming Out Monologues, YQL are a celebration of community that bring a diverse selection of spoken word and musical pieces to the stage every season!
The Coming Out Monologues provides a stage for queer and ally stories to be shared. Whether attending as an audience member, or as a storyteller from the stage, the Coming Out Monologues provide the entire community an opportunity to celebrate diversity in our city.
The event is completely FREE for all.
The event will take place in the Library Theatre gallery which is wheelchair accessible.
We will have an ASL interpreter on site translating the monologues.
All gender bathrooms will be provided.
Some of the subject matter may be a bit tense so small children may find it overwhelming.
The Coming Out Monologues, YQL is an extension of the Coming Out Monologues developed by Calgary Queer Arts Society.

Lo mejor que deja el deporte 🏈✨

To kick off our fantastic week, we are having our annual flag raising on the steps of City Hall. The event will start at 6 PM. Join us to celebrate the fantastic support we receive from the City of Lethbridge and every branch of our wonderful, diverse, community.
Our 2019 flag raiser is the fantastic Dr. Jillian Demontigny. Jillian is a family physician in Taber. She has a special interest in gender affirming primary care and has been providing outreach health care to diverse patients across Southern Alberta. Jillian was the founding member of the Taber Equality Alliance and a vocal advocate for improving access to health care for all patients.
This march signifies our communities stance against transphobia and to remember transgendered victims of violence.
We will be marching together from Galt Gardens park to City Hall. We encourage you to make signs, bring flags and feel free to express yourself.
Please gather at Galt Garden (stage area) prior
to 6:00 p.m and join us as we march.
All are welcome, but please remember to exercise responsible allyship and recognize that the voices of the trans community take precedence in this space.

e me traga o SUFICIENTE 🙌🏼.
What a Match!!! After 80mins of full on wheelchair rugby league, with both team being separated by no more than 10 points throughout the game, our 2019 NSWWRL City v Country game has ended in a draw (38-38). Great game by all.

✋🏻✋🏻HANDS UP IF YOU’RE TIRED OF BEING TREATED LIKE CRAP BY MAJOR RETAILERS BECAUSE YOU DON’T HAVE A CERTAIN (THIN) BODY TYPE.
Hands up if you’re tired of going into a store where 90% is dedicated to straight sizes and only a small wall dedicated to plus.
Hands up if you’re tired of going into a store and seeing super cute clothing in straight sizes only to find it’s not available in plus.
Hands up if you really want to shop in store but the retailer only carries plus online.
Hands up if you’re sick of paying more money for the plus size options of clothing.
Hands up if you’re tired of brands that only offer limited size ranges, catering to smaller body types.
Hands up if you’re over being treated less than because you don’t fit into a narrow minded ideal of what a body should look like.
Let me say this loud and clear:
ALL BODIES DESERVE TO WEAR BEAUTIFUL CLOTHES.
ALL BODIES SHOULD BE ABLE TO ENJOY FASHION.
ALL BODIES ARE WORTHY.

🗣 Let’s talk #BodyPositivity !! _______________________________________________________
I was incredibly self-conscious & even felt shame about my breast & body since puberty. Especially when struggling to find things that fit me properly. 😕 Lack of representation & the over-sexualization of the female form sends a message to young girls that something is wrong with us. 👗 In world that caters to the petite, I am so grateful to @ElomiLingerie for being #inclusive . 💜
The more curves/rolls/cellulite you have, the more strict the maximum of how much you’re permitted to love yourself. Society will nitpick at your imperfections, but this is my temple. My alter. It is meant for worship. It’s where my soul resides. I will proudly #takeupspace .
The #ElomiMatilda collection makes me feel most confident in my own skin. #ELOMILINGERIE#LIVELIMITLESSCHALLENGE#LLCHALLENGE25#LIVELIMITLESS
