The experiences you go through when you travel makes you a much better person. In February me and @smaran_alva had a wonderful opportunity to spend 3 days at one of the lesser explored ice skiing hub in India . Auli, Uttarakhand in India gave us lots of valuable experiences.
A scholar and responsible guy since an early age, Mohan Bhargava is an accurate representation of “follow what your heart desires.” He left his friends and close-ones at a tender age to pursue studies and then a dream career in NASA. However, upon having a transformation of heart towards motherland, he was brave enough to quit all his aspirations and a well-settled comfortable life in the USA. Mohan strongly believes that every small effort counts towards securing fruitful results. He is someone who looks at the brighter side of the picture, and understands that everyone can be made to act positively and constructively (Mann se Raavan jo nikale, Ram uske mann mein hai). Growing up with people possessing an open mindset in a developed society, Mohan finds it challenging to cope up with the issue of casteism. He believes everyone deserves the freedom of choice and together they can contribute towards a greater world. Most importantly, rather than just speaking up, Mohan believes in acting on those beliefs, although he never hesitates in putting forward his thoughts, no matter who he is talking to.
Despite being so brave and impactful on the face, Mohan is exceptionally vulnerable and weak emotionally and cares for people very close to him. The lines “Tujhse zindagi hai ye keh rahi, sab to paa liya ab hai kya kami” summarize this beautifully, depicting that although he followed his heart at every moment, he still feels incomplete and disconnected from everyone he loves.
Like many of us, Mohan struggles with his internal conflicts and likes spending some alone time, but is generally very easy going with people and kids. He talks to everyone in their tone and never flaunts about his achievements and life in the USA unless asked for. Mohan is shy and respectful towards women, and not very comfortable on the romantic front. Although wealthy, he is not materialistic and prefers simplicity but ensures no compromise on the necessities such as drinking water and caravan. And therefore, the scene where he drinks water from an earthen cup during his train journey is a strong indication of his transformation.
PS: Apne hi paani mein pighal jaana, barf ka muqaddar hota hai!
🇮🇳📍Happy saturday and happy easter!
I just found this photo from our mini road trip outside of Panjim when we ate at a local fully vegetarian restaurant. Wouldn’t mind eating some stews and naan on a metal platter with a cup of chai right now🤤
What are you eating today? Show me that easter food😏
