I wanted to do something a bit different today, but couldn't decide just what. I had this old rag paper sketchbook that I hadn't used yet, and I haven't done much with watercolor lately. So I found a photo I took in Switzerland back in 2016 and decided to give it a shot. Long story short, it's much more difficult than I anticipated as this paper is suuuuuper absorbant and the watercolor is almost instantly sucked into the fibers. Not like normal watercolor paper or other sketchbooks. At any rate, I don't think it turned out too bad and I had some fun with it. Sketching daily is becoming more of a habit! Let's see if I can stick with it.
🚋 A tram city tour combines well with a climb to the Arrábida Bridge. The line 18 connects the area near Carmo Church to Massarelos, on the riverside. Thank you @raquelauroralourenco for the photo. 📷 @raquelauroralourenco
