  • HALF MARATHON PB - Noosa Runaway!

Pretty happy with 9mins off my last half 🙌🏻
What’s not to love about a PB - no matter how slow it may still be 🐢💨💨 I realised about 6kms into the 21kms just how f’n LONG this run was going to be 😆
And at about 17kms in I realised I may be batshit crazy for putting my hand up for an actual marathon in September 😧🤦🏻‍♀️
For the last 6-7kms my back protested heavily (well to be fair every fibre of my body protested heavily lolz) ... but ....come hell or high water I was GETTING.IT.DONE 🤨

Met soooo many lovely ladies who read this blog before, during and after the race which was awesome - gosh you’s make a girl feel like a superstar out there yelling my name and whooping for me all the way through 🤩

Speaking of stars .... pretty chuffed to get a shout out of encouragement from Mr Garmin Man not once but twice on the course today #fangirl lol 
My groom did bloody awesome in his first marathon pacer role and it was such a rare treat to share the road with him and get to pass him multiple times. His smiles were my power 🖤

More photos to come later but for now I’m thinking toilet, coffee, food, arvo sleep, more food, & a well earned beer tonight! .. in that order 🤣
Plus the obligatory pouring over stats, stories & photos with my man xx 
Also ... I’ve sat down on a gutter to write this while I wait for my medal engraving 🏅
Problem: I’m not sure how I will get up.
Ever. 
My everything hurts 😆
But I’m smiling 😌

  • First Video all time squat PB 170kg May not sound like much but for me it’s amazing! That’s a 15kg increase... obviously doesn’t look pretty and believe me it didn’t fucking feel pretty on the way down or up but I’m taking it 👊🏻 did all the pretty reps on much lower weight for sets of 10-15. Shouldn’t have even tried this to be honest but my mate did it so I had to try! 
Second video is, 4 at 150kg but I’m only gonna take 3 of them as the 4th crumbled me and can’t really call that a bloody squat 🙄 only a few posts back I put up a video from March struggling to just eek out 1 on 150kg so it’s all moving in the right direction. 
Food at the moment is proper food and clean-ish but tasty and loads of it! The more clean, nutritious, whole foods I can get in the less likely I am to get “peckish” and grab something shit starting the binge cycle of cramming everything into my mouth as quickly as possible and repeating the cycle daily. When you sit up all night eating a takeaway and other crap, you’re not preparing meals for the next day and it will just happen again and again.

With training back in full swing and cardio back in I’ll assess my weight and shape (beer belly size) and lower where I need to but really don’t want to. I like being strong and I like feeling big but not fat and out of shape and I personally think just making the changes to my training (doing some bloody cardio) and not eating crap will help me get back to a shape I’m happier with.

This was the end result of squatting for an hour and a half and then doing 50 rep sets RP on the Leg press and vomit worthy work on extensions and curls after. Feel absolutely fucked and going to be crippled all weekend but I bloody love it 😎😈
