Umgib dich nur mit schönen Sachen. Denn du bist es wert. Oftmals kümmern wir uns um andere, vergessen dabei aber völlig, dass wir das nur machen können, wenn es uns selbst gut geht. Und wann geht es uns gut, wenn wir uns selbst um uns kümmern. Denn mal ganz ehrlich. Wenn sich jeder um sich selbst kümmert, dann ist für alles gesorgt. Kinder haben diesen natürlichen Instinkt für sich selbst zu sorgen. Es sind die Erwachsenen, die Kindern diesen Instinkt aberziehen. Dabei ist er so wertvoll. Deswegen möchte ich dich dazu inspirieren wieder öfter an dich selbst zu denken, dich um dich zu kümmern und dich sogar mal richtig zu verwöhnen. Es gibt dich nur einmal auf dieser Welt und genau das macht dich BESONDERS. Du hast nur dieses eine leben, nur diesen einen Körper, nur diese eine Gesundheit also pass gut darauf auf. 
Für mich ist die Investition in gutes Essen die beste Investition in mich selbst. Denn wenn ich genug Energie habe, dann kann ich viel besser für meine Kinder und all die lieben Menschen um mich herum Dasein und liebe geben.💕💕💕

We often tend to take care of other people and most of the time we forget about ourselves. Children have this instinct to take care about themselves first. And we as parents try to train them to stop doing so. But this is a healthy instinct. Because if everyone is taking care of themselves everyone is been taking care of. So give yourself this extra love, take very good care of you! Because if you don’t have energy or a good health you can’t take care of others anymore. 
You are unique because you only exists ONCE in this world. So treat yourself special because you are. .
For me buying fresh fruits and veggies and spoiling me with healthy food is one way to tAke care of myself. It nourishes me and gives me energy so I can spread love and light to others. 💕💕💕

  • All this C O R N is in season and we can’t resist the sweetness and crunch. 🌽 Even though this Street Corn Salad might be a new adventure (like it was for me) it is SO WORTH IT...It is absolutely delicious and combined with grilled poblanos and lime juice... YES PLEASE! It’s perfect to bring to a pot luck or picnic ! Here’s what I combined for this Grilled Street Corn Salad👉🏼 •5-6 grilled corn on the cob ( grill in husk for 15 min while turning every 3-4 min, take off husks and return on grill to get charred for 3-4 min) •1 diced grilled poblano pepper with seeds and skin removed •1/2 diced red onion •1/2 diced jalapeño for heat
•a bunch of chopped cilantro •juice of 1 lime
•1 Tbs mayo( primal kitchen or homemade) • salt and pepper to taste

  • Malabar spinach is possibly my favorite summer plant to grow because it’s super tasty, low-maintenance, and GORGEOUS. Last year when we were trying out a bunch of new summer veggies, my Malabar spinach was unfortunately vetoed by the mama bear since we didn’t have enough space. Mother-daughter give and take at its best 🤨 but this year my Malabar spinach is back in the game, and I’m pumped! It’s just now getting started and it’s already the veggie garden showstopper.

Eating Malabar spinach is very similar to eating regular spinach. I personally prefer to eat it raw in a salad, and it’s much juicer and crisper than the regular #spinach we’re used to. This plant is such a fast grower and is so prolific that you could be eating #homegrown spinach salads every day throughout the summer if you wanted to.

So ditch the prepackaged lettuce mixes for some homegrown, iron-rich, Malabar spinach! If you’ve never grown #veggies before or feel like you don’t have a green thumb, this extremely low-maintenance and forgiving plant is the one to start with. All you need is sun and a warm summer! 🌞 Even if you don't have a veggie garden, you can always put it in a pot and away you go. 
To get you inspired, below is a Bon Appétit recipe for a Spinach Salad with Oranges and Almonds. I've replaced their packaged baby spinach with homegrown Malabar spinach. You can also get wild and sprinkle a little blue or goats cheese on top. Yum!

Dressing
6 tablespoons vegetable oil
1/4 cup fresh orange juice
3 green onions, minced
3 tablespoons unseasoned rice vinegar
1 tablespoon honey
1 tablespoon chopped fresh tarragon
1 teaspoon grated orange peel

Salad
9 ounces of Malabar spinach (or really as much as you want!)
2/3 tablespoons sliced almonds, toasted
4 oranges (white pith and membranes removed to release segments)

  • When serving as the official opposition in 2013, the Ontario PC Party and then-leader Tim Hudak put forward a selection of white papers titled “Paths to Prosperity”. These documents contained policy proposals to bolster various sectors throughout Ontario. One of these white papers, titled "Respect for Rural Ontario", covered agriculture and rural affairs. It specifically highlighted the Ontario Food Terminal’s successes while proposing a new, supplemental terminal to better serve some Ontario farmers and rural communities.

As explained in a 2013 PC news release and paraphrased here: a key PC proposal was for a regional food terminal in addition to the existing Toronto facility. Ernie Hardeman, then Agriculture and Rural Affairs Critic, sad that such a facility would create jobs, increase markets for our farmers, and provide small processors with a reliable supply—improving the distribution of fresh Ontario food.

So why have the Progressive Conservatives and now Minister of Agriculture and Rural Affairs Ernie Hardeman gone from acknowledging the successes of the Ontario Food Terminal and looking to replicate it elsewhere to crippling its zoning protections and considering relocation to an area with far less demand? When it comes to our food network, the path to prosperity does not involve relocating the Ontario Food Terminal away from maximum demand. That would kill jobs, decrease market access and opportunity for farmers, limit small businesses’ profitability, raise the cost of food while reducing choice, and increase the distance our food travels.

If demand justifies a secondary, regional food terminal, we encourage the current government to pursue such an option. But please, don’t harm Ontario’s food network and distribution by relocating the Ontario Food Terminal. Instead, designate it as a PSEZ and help it continue to thrive.

If your MPP is a member of Ontario’s Progressive Conservative Party, please write them and ask why they appear to be moving away from their original proposals in favour of relocation considerations that present significant negative impacts to the entire sector.
