Part 3

As long as I've been rapping the whole thing still amazes me. Not cuz I'm on my own ish (even though it would make total sense if you listen to the quality) but regardless of how good I am or not, just the whole process of words that rhyme popping out of thin air into your mind trips me out.  Recently someone asked me about my "process" and I told them while I don't straight freestyle everything, somewhere along our second album I stopped writing (and still tell myself I have to get back to that as a process because it's more efficient). I jot things down here and there to try and remember ideas and lines, but from our second album on, there isn't one whole song written anywhere. Basically I listen to a track over and over and freestyle words and melodies to myself until I get something I like and then I (try to) memorize it.  Then I repeat that process until I eventually have a verse or song or album in my head -that's why I never look at a notebook or phone in the vocal booth or in these random vids. I also always leave a few things open to straight freestyle in each take, keep things loose and dynamic. The thing that trips me out is that the words are literally dropping into place, rhyme wise and content wise like mental Tetris. Regardless of if it's dope or not, just that it happens is a type of magic that still trips me out to this day. #creation Sometimes I get scared that it'll stop happening one day, that the Tetris game will stop working and I'll run out of words.

But $hiiiiit that ain't happened yet!
