  • Thank you so much @penguinbooks for sending these summer reading picks my way! ✨ I’ve listened to both My Year of Rest and Relaxation & Oleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine on audio, but I’ve been dying to read them in print too! How to Stop Time has also been on my TBR for ages, so I’m excited to finally get to it! And both Tana French and Catherine Isaac are new authors to me, so I’m also looking forward to reading these books from them ☺️ Have you guys read any of these? Which ones do you recommend the most?

  • as you can see, i think i have never ending relationship with this book, it’s not that I didn’t like it, i just couldn’t help the possibility after reading this book, i read so many heartbreaking stories in these past a few days so i guess i need a break and more happy feel books in my radar 😅. Accidentally i read about the author, she wrote the book with fight for her cancer, well i read earlier chapters, i had known a bit of one of the characters had it as well, it seemed she wrote it with the experience she felt in the meantime. Actually I really can’t wait to read the entire story later :).
.
Happy weekend Dear Friends 💛💛 hope you have amazing day!.
What kind of sad story you couldn’t handle to read? I think mine is about the death a loved ones when you liked the character and he/she had to die well i just can’t.

Wo ist euer liebster Leseplatz? Auf der gemütlichen Couch bei euch zu Hause, ganz klassisch in eurem Bett? Am Strand, draußen im Garten, vielleicht ja sogar im Zug? ☺️📚 .

Ich persönlich liebe es, im Zug zu lesen, weil ich das super entspannend finde! 😂 Aber nichts geht über eine lange Leserunde auf der Couch zu Hause mit einem leckeren Getränk in der einen und einem guten Buch in der anderen Hand 😍 { #readingnook #bookshelf }

One pet crow fights to save humanity from an apocalypse in this uniquely hilarious debut from a genre-bending literary author. ⁣
⁣
S.T., a domesticated crow, is a bird of simple pleasures: hanging out with his owner Big Jim, trading insults with Seattle's wild crows (those idiots), and enjoying the finest food humankind has to offer: Cheetos ®. ⁣
⁣
Then Big Jim's eyeball falls out of his head, and S.T. starts to feel like something isn't quite right. His most tried-and-true remedies--from beak-delivered beer to the slobbering affection of Big Jim's loyal but dim-witted dog, Dennis--fail to cure Big Jim's debilitating malady. S.T. is left with no choice but to abandon his old life and venture out into a wild and frightening new world with his trusty steed Dennis, where he discovers that the neighbors are devouring each other and the local wildlife is abuzz with rumors of dangerous new predators roaming Seattle. Humanity's extinction has seemingly arrived, and the only one determined to save it is a foul-mouthed crow whose knowledge of the world around him comes from his TV-watching education.

Hallo, ihr Lieben✨
~
Welche Bücher brauchen eurer Meinung unbedingt eine Verfilmung?💕
~
~

  • Title: VERONICA DECIDES TO DIE

Author: PAULO COELHO

Type: Paperback

Genre: Psychological fiction

Publishing house: Harper Collins

Ratings: 3/5

This book revolves around how depression can take pver one's life. The protagof this story, Veronica had everything she could wish for but still she wasn't happy. And so she overdosed. She was told by the doctors that she is alive but her heart is irreparably damaged and have only few days to live.
The story follows her through the intense days when she starts to question the idea about life. And soon she realises we all have a choice of existence between living and dying.
Rather a roller coaster book, this book gives us the essence of how we take our lives for granted and we tend to miss the opportunities of being happy but pondering over our unhappiness.

  • “Reality doesn’t always give us the life that we desire, but we can always find what we desire between the pages of books.”
—Adelise M. Cullens.

Why do you love to read?
I will give a shoutout to two or more awesome comments in my story this week ❤️.
📚
📚
Hello, friends! How was everyone’s week? I was sick for most of mine but I seem to finally be on the mend! 🙌🏻 As for my qotd... When I was a kid I remember wanting to love reading but not really having the patience to do so. I think I was about ten or eleven when I was diagnosed with Dyslexia. It took me a while to realize it was not a road block but a hurdle. A hurdle that got smaller with every book I was determined to read. Many, *many* books later, I barely notice the hurdles anymore. Books have become such a huge part of my life that it’s easy to forget I ever struggled to read one in the first place.
So to answer today’s question: I love to read because reading dared me to grow. ❤️ What about you? 📚
📚
📚
I hope everyone has a lovely week! ❤️.

  • Hey guys 😊
September is almost here, so, even if I'm on holidays I keep working on my University thesis. Therefore, Atonement is always with me ♥ and I can't complain about it! .

This was an entertaining domestic thriller. But for me on my end some things fell flat and were missing. *
•
It's the first book I read by Alafair Burke, it won't be my last, because I see a lot of potential in her writing style. From the start I was hooked and couldn't stop reading, really needed to know what would happen. Towards the middle I started loosing interest, felt somethings were missing, some time gapses were forgotten, and just a lot was written but the action was dying down. I kept reading because I really wanted to know the turn out. *
•
The ending shook me, I wasn't expecting it. Which kind of saved the book for me. If you enjoy domestic thrillers, be sure to pick this one up. *
