"Saksun in Faroe Islands was a magical place with these grass top cabins, waterfalls for days, a church, fjords, and the lake. Pure wonder and awe. It will most definitely not be my last time here."

My first ever sunrise up Benarty Hill with Oscar was one to remember. Almost a year ago now. Miss ya wee man 🐶 Fun Fact- Benarty Hill is known as, "The Sleeping Giant", because, from a certain
view and angle, it actually looks to have a human form with recognisable features. 🏴 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ “Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up.”~Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #sunrise_and_sunsets#landscape_lover#visitscotland#lovescotland
An #aerial shot of the lovely town of #Toblemory , on the #IsleOfMull , in the #ArgyllAndBute Council.
A memory I have from this place is a group of 5/6 little girls (between 7 and 13 years old) catching crabs using a rudimental bait made of a piece of something edible (It seemed old fruit but I may be wrong) tied to a fishing line. That's it. I experienced this simple moment thinking of what may be really need nowdays: coming back to a simpler life. A less stressing life. A slower life. Perhaps made by moments like these where I could see the curiousity in the eyes of my daughter joining these little girls which were playing on the port of this tiny town of 1000 souls, located in the northernmost area of the amazing Isle of Mull.
In occasions like this I really understand the meaning of the hastag used by the @argyllandbute#abplace2b (A better place to be).
All of this can be easily summarized in just 4 words: Enjoy the little things.
What’s your favourite view from bonnie Edinburgh? 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5? All of these tip top gorgeous shots are by the must follow @moumita.paul_
Truly - a beautiful and ancient place! In fact, did you know some 600 million years ago the land that is now "Scotland" was attached to North America, and much further north of a land mass that would become England? Eventually over eons of time we joined together (with the “America” land mass floating away to enjoy proper BBQ, free refills and good dentistry) with geologists thinking our connection point being roughly in the area of Hadrian's Wall.
The pics in order - 1. The gorgeous Victoria street. 2. Writer's Museum on Lady Stair's Close 3. The beautiful Circus Lane 4. Beautiful light on Cockburn Street 5. Layers of Edinburgh old town. Ahh so many treats to explore when you visit!
Have a wonderful, peaceful Sunday! ☀️ Beautiful shots by @moumita.paul_ 🇬🇧 To be featured, follow and tag us! 🇬🇧

Not sure how long this avenue of trees will be here. Each storm that passes we lose a few more. 🌳

If you look around haddo you’ll notice two things. First the plaques at the base of large trees and second there all planted by George. Either he’s a vampire or it was a popular name between 1700 - 1950. 🧛🏻♂️

You can blame my parents for my obsession. I grew up watching them take photos of interesting doors on our travels. From Europe to North Africa and the Middle East. 🚪

@haddo_house is a life line for me at times. Spending even just 20 minutes or less when you've been stuck in bed for days or even weeks, can really raise my spirits. The disabled parking is just feet from the door.

I’ve asked myself a lot lately “Where would I be without this illness” Pursuing my dreams? Possibly, but I wouldn’t be as content as I am now. No I’m not living in ideal circumstances but then who is. Yes there are times when I'm bedbound but I'm blessed to have such an understanding and supportive family.
Allowing myself to be the person I am rather than the person I should have been has been the largest hurdle to overcome. It’s a journey and I’m glad this one is mine.

One of the more challenging things I’ve faced over the past year, is having to accept that I’m no longer able to do many if not most of the things I once enjoyed.
But I’ve changed and grown as a person due to the circumstances I’ve found myself in. Although it’s been difficult, I’m thankful to my Ankylosing Spondylitis and Lupus for the positive changes in my life.

Due to the recent decline in my health, I've started taking more photos when Im able inorder to have a surplus. This way I am still able to post when I'm housebound. So here is one of those.

I've grown up with dogs. Each had there own personality that I grew to love and mourn when they passed. But this is different. I understand him more than I do my family and friends. A connection that will last a lifetime.

I'm fortunate enough to have Haddo on my doorstep. It allows me somewhere to go locally when I'm unable to travel far.
However brief the visit, It always manages to lift my spirit especially when I've been stuck in the house for week or two.

As much as I love living in the countryside, it's nice to get a change of pace now and then.
Heading into town makes me feel part of society again.
Although after a few hours the novelty usually wears off and I'm ready to go home.

I'm unable to do tours anymore due to all the stairs. But It's a lovely place to visit regardless and there is parking right at the door. Making it a lot more accessible.
