This first picture is the face of a chick that is so glad she made it through her workout. #bodybeast#bulklegs for #legday today.
Call me crazy, but I love leg day. I mean I swear like a sailor when I’m doing it. But when I’m done , and able to walk again 🤪I am so f’n pumped it’s not fit!! I love that I find it super hard, and that it tests my limits. I fucking love that I’m picking up the heaviest #weights I own and giving it everything I got while the sweat pours down my back. Thankfully I share this with my friend @dr_aimee ... who after doing this one yesterday perhaps, maybe , kinda, blatantly 😳dared me to give it a go this am after a crazy HIIT component in yesterday’s workout. And see.. I just couldn’t say no. Damn it. 🙄
Now to get up my stairs to the shower before my legs decide they are quitting on me for the day. 😆 #coach#ladieswholift#shebeast#whateverittakes#legs#quadgoals#oneononewiththebeast#hybridcalendar#liftheavy#liftoften
Recently I have been trying to figure out as a Personal Trainer, what kind of social media presence I’d like,
What can I offer? How can I genuinely help people?
I’d personally rather not post anything at all then just post for the sake of saying ‘look at me’ and regurgitating someone else’s fitness related caption 😴
I’ve come to the conclusion that what I want to give anyone who follows me or takes the time to read anything I post is just honesty and Integrity in the hope of inspiring someone 🙌🏼
There is not enough of these characteristics in this world. Especially in a lot of the shameful ‘Fitness Industry Influencers’
From the condescending preachers who have never been out of shape in their life and have no idea how it feels, to the edited images, the posts written to make the influencers seem elite whilst making its audience feel inferior, the lies that they write about their lifestyles, the videos of personal trainers doing 2 reps and claiming that they smashed a full session 🙄
I can’t do it.
I post progress pictures of my clients and myself occasionally, not to show off but to show that I genuinely practice what I preach and in the hope that it may give me a little more credibility to the reader so that they can see that I have genuinely walked the walk when it comes to transforming myself physically and mentally.
Telling you that I have smashed a session at 5am on a Monday morning , prepped my food for the whole year, been to India and back for a yoga session all before my 8am bulletproof coffee and posting an irrelevant picture of my ass 🍑 with a hashtag #humpday is not going to help anyone.
It may give some viewers a little visual aid if you know what I mean🍆 but that’s about as far as it goes to helping anyone 😂
From now on, expect a lot more honesty from me, even if it does ruffle a few fitness feathers 😉
Resilience is in your mind, not just your body.
You are the only one with the power to pick yourself up, dust yourself off and carry on when life throws its curve balls at you.
My saving grace through hardships in my life has been my training 💙
When people have let me down, when everything else had gone and when things felt like they were out of my control the only thing I could truly rely on, progress with and feel like I was surviving was training and getting stronger physically and mentally.
I don’t want to tell people that life is fabulous and full of rainbows 🌈 and glitter or write an annoyingly over motivational post that doesn’t really help anyone when the truth is that life can be a bitch sometimes but knowing I have the strength to handle anything it throws at me is liberating.
If I could give just one person who has had their own hardships and is struggling in any way this sense of resilience and strength then to me I am successful.
I get asked all the time, what are you training for? And my answer is always the same. For life!💪🏼 #shebeast#itsamentality#resilience#life#strength#fitness#hale#altrincham#manchester#manchesterpersonaltrainer#gym #focus
