Dia 3: Summer Palace.

GREAT Wall, Summer Palace, Forbidden City, Olympic Stadium, Temple of Heaven, Fine Dining (&1 not so fine😅- Hope it wasn't horse cheek or Panda thigh), challenging missions, Beijing traffic, DANCE CLASS, crowded subways, Hutongs, drivers running us down, #1 jade shop in China, Dance club till 6am, Wild ladies night, tea with strangers in the park, Cabaret show in little Russia watching friends light up the performance floor and pole. 10 pics can't capture it all but What a true gift - when a treasured soul from back home flies around the globe to see China thru your eyes and not the media, pick you up and support your growth and performances in front of audiences that consistently want more!
Thanku my friend. You were there with me and for me when I needed it!😘 #GreatWall#SummerPalaceBeijing#ForbiddenCity#ClubMix#TempleOfHeaven#BirdsNestBeijingOlympicStadium#Mangos#WorldTraveller#HotGuys

🔸Today my post will be about one of the “must do” places in #beijing - The Summer Palace. This is a very huge park and you can easily spend here the whole day because there’s so much to see and enjoy.😲😍
🔸The Summer Palace has lots of gardens, temples, and pavilions which were designed to achieve harmony with nature, to soothe, and to please the eye. The Chinese name «Nourishing Peace Garden» is apt.⛩🐉
🔸It was an imperial garden in the Qing Dynasty.🎎During the hot Beijing summers, the imperial family preferred the beautiful gardens and airy pavilions of the Summer Palace to the walled-in Forbidden City.🥵
🔸UNESCO reported that the Summer Palace is "a masterpiece of Chinese landscape garden design”.🐲🎏
🔸P.S. This is only “part 1” of my photos from this place.😱😅Too huge park😳😬

Part 2. [Русский]⬇️
🔸The funny thing is that the name "Summer Palace" is in all languages except Chinese!😅In Chinese this park is called "Yihe Yuan" but it doesn't mean "summer" or "palace". "Yuan" can mean "money"💸or "park/garden" but in this context they use the second meaning. The name "Summer Palace" was created by europeans similarly to the names of their monarchs' residencies.
🔸Despite that the Summer Palace is very huge, but actually 3/4 of its area is water! 💦
🔸The full price of the ticket which allows you to visit everything on the territory ("all inclusive") of the Summer Palace is 60¥.💰Because you can visit not only the park territory, walk along the Kunming Lake but you can also visit "special parts" like the Great Temple of Gratitude and Longevity and enjoy the great view of the lake on the top of the hill.🏯
🔸Another interesting part of the park in my opinion was the Hall of the Sea of Wisdom which is located on the peak of Longevity Hill. It was built from coloured glass and houses over 1,000 statues of Buddhist figures.

Summer Palace or Yiheyuan is the largest and most well-preserved royal park in china. Covering up an area of 2.9 square kilometres, this park includes many lakes, gardens and palaces.
The Summer Palace, in Beijing, where the imperial family used to spend summers looking for cooler temperatures. The pictures show some of its mais points: The Suzhou Market street, the Marble Boat, the Long Corridor, and the Tower of Buddhist Incense. But there are many more (and many more pictures 😆)
friendly reminder that you are allowed to feel proud of yourself for things that might seem silly to other people, like getting better at a video game or putting together a nice outfit for the next morning or finishing a book. you deserve to feel proud for your accomplishment
Happy Birthday to my oh so beautiful mother, @dblcha! Last year for her birthday, I gave her a trip to China. Sorry Mom, I don't think I'll ever be able to top that one! 🙈😆 But I'm so glad we were able to go and spend that time together doing what you taught me to love - traveling!! I was so blessed to grow up with a mom who always had an insatiable love for travel and who passed it on to me! So many of my best memories are of visiting new countries and experiencing different cultures, and I'm grateful for all the opportunities I've had to see this beautiful world we live in! My mother showed me by example how to savor every trip and appreciate the unique beauty in every place I see. What a gift she passed down! Having her as my mom is one of the greatest blessings of my life, and I am so glad I got to see her and spend time with her recently! I hope we can have more grand adventures together soon. 😊 I love you, Mom! Happy Birthday!! 😍🎉🎊🎁🍰💖
My trip to Beijing was very nice and relaxing. It was my second time in Beijing and still amazed by this busy capital.
I haven’t used any VPN services during my stay in Beijing and was therefore offline on social media and WhatsApp during my entire trip (except WeChat, but I’m very lonely on WeChat 😂). Being offline for a few days really helped me to relax and made me realize how much time I actually spend on my phone. Let me try to keep it to a minimum from now on 🤔
PS. After my Beijing trip I became very “lazy” on social media, hence my delays on posts and stories 😜😂
#neda_china#china#beijing#summerpalacebeijing
Here, we felt as if we were transported back 100 years ago to the Qing dynasty. Fun fact: Built after a market street in Suzhou, the street gave the imperial family an opportunity to take part in the daily life of ordinary people which was forbidden to them. When imperial family visited the street, eunuchs would act as tradesmen and customers to create a prosperous scene in the street (source: my mom 😉 , and mybeijingchina.com)
The Marble Boat on Kunming lake and garden architecture, Summer Palace, Beijing.
This trip has been full of culture and history. I remember learning about the Summer Palace, and the marble boat when I was studying Chinese history. It is so cool to actually see all these places I read and learned about in person!
