OKAY, let’s talk weight loss ⬇️
I feel like the topic of weight loss has been surrounded by such negativity online. It’s okay to want to make a change, as long as you’re doing it for the right reason and backed by education.
Now while I am not saying weight loss is easy for everyone, I am saying that it is POSSIBLE!
The first thing you need to decide is, how important is this to me? You really need to be self aware when answering this because if you’re not willing to put in the work, you aren’t going to reach your goal. Simple as that.
Second, you need to decide why it’s important to you. Check yourself! Are you doing this for you? For your health? To challenge yourself? Or are you doing this from a place of self loathing? Two very different things and you need to ensure you’re doing it for the right reason.
Third, you need to EDUCATE yourself. The key to weight loss in any form is ENERGY BALANCE. Not a specific way of training, Not keto, not intermittent fasting, not low carb/high protein - these are all ways to restrict your intake but they are NOT magic. You simply need to exert more energy than you are consuming. That is it.
Fourth, you need to understand that once you reach your goal the hard work doesn’t stop - this again comes back to education. Put simply though, your energy (calorie) needs will decrease as you lose weight. Therefore, you can not just go back to eating as you were before - this is where most people fail and end up right where they started or even worse off. Understand that the reverse diet is essential and get a coach who will help you not only reach your body composition goals but maintain it.
