Kids deserve the chance to learn, create, and get messy. All it takes is some oversized smocks and a love for paint. I love how different their patterns are! What are your go-to indoor activities?

The chase before nap time, somehow he gets so excited right before we need to calm down. This is when I am grateful he is still nursing, it’s like an instant relaxant. 😆
I’ve been torn lately about his nursing, he’s almost two and still loves it, so I’ve been in no rush to change our nursing habits. I’m very lucky to work from home, so he can still nurse for his nap time and post nap time snuggle. But he also still wakes in the night and wants only mama...I’ve been told by so many to “just stop breastfeeding and you’ll get your sleep back”...I’ve also had people ask “when are you going to stop nursing”, like I should have already? Yes, he’s our last baby, so maybe I just want to hold onto these moments for as long as possible...what are your thoughts? Did you wean your little ones? I guess I’ll just give it some more time. 😉
🐴 I rode while I was pregnant with her my entire first trimester. 🐴I also rode with her when I was 37 weeks pregnant just because my sister tried to tell me I could not do it. 🐴When Tenley was 2 weeks old, she sat in the saddle with my sister on the same horse I rode at 37 weeks pregnant.
🐴At 9 months old she participated in her first lead line class in the saddle with my sister. 🐴At 15 months old, she rode in her first pee wee barrel race. 🐴This past spring/summer/fall, at 2 years old my girl participated in over a dozen barrel and pole races. 🐴I think it’s safe to say these animals run through her blood! She is horse crazed! Did I cause it? I’m sure I played a big role but this face of pure joy every time she is in her pony is what makes it all worth it! 🐴Some may think I’m crazy for riding horses while pregnant or letting my infant on a horse. But I put that much trust in a couple of our horses. 💕💕 #horses#horse#pony#ponies#horsesofinstagram#peeweebarrelracer#peeweepoles#speedshow#barrels#poles#polebending#barrelracing#toddlerlife#leadline#lovehorses#paintpony#painthorse
#tbt to when the stomach flu hadn’t run rampant through our home.
The tide turned last night as Eli got sick and this stomach bug took over, now having taken down the majority of our family.
Only one remains. Will she make it out unscathed?
Only time will tell.
Happy Thursday friends. 😂

Can I just have a moment, please?
A moment for time to flipping STOP. I literally can’t handle the fact that my baby will be FIVE in less than 2 months. Like, how did this even happen?! I’ll blink and he’ll be graduating from kindergarten.
I’ll blink and he’ll be playing high school sports.
I’ll blink and he’ll be in his second year of college.
I’ll blink and he’ll be nervously talking about proposing to that girl that stole his heart that first belonged to me.
I’ll blink and he’ll be an adult and raising his own little family.
The days are long but the years are so so so very short. 💔

What else would be better to wear to do a spot of tree climbing than a super comfy pair of woodland harems 🦊🦝🌱 Also exploring in his funky fox coat which was one of my very first pieces and helped inspire me to start my business @totzu.totzu
I still have a small amount of woodland print available 😊
We met each other on this day exactly 10 years ago. It’s been a long and short 10 years, we built a life and became parents together. Happy birthday to daddy, here is to many more 10 years. #happybirthday
Since B started school in September, getting her ready to go to school every morning has been quite a challenge. Usually when we go somewhere I would leave sufficient time for her to get ready, and even if we are behind schedule it’s mostly ok. But with school, we need to make it to the bus stop in time, so she will arrive at the school without being late. Because of the time crunch, I often found myself helping her get dressed or brushing her teeth, etc. After a while, I decided that we need to straighten things out by keeping a solid routine on a schedule so that no one (mostly me) would be stressing out and she can be as independent as usual. I’ve thought about making a routine card set, but I wanted it to incorporate the time element so B would understand each sequential step should be completed within a time frame. I was inspired by @angeline_kyan’s customized clock for her daughter S. And I got these beautiful daily rhythm printables and the ikea clock. I printed the essential morning routines on reduced size and laminated them, double side taped them on the clock. From B’s wake time of 845 am to the time she steps out the door 940 am, is within one hour, so I was able to layout the activities around the clock. I can tell her to look at the minutes needle (the long needle) and follow the sequence clockwise. If for you the activities span through two hours, I would suggest putting a different color of dot stickers or write numbers on the rhythm cards to identify the sequence. Underneath the clock we setup a check box system with magnet board and magnets. She can place the green magnets on the specific items. This makes it more fun and interactive. At her current age (2.5 years old,) she doesn’t have the concept of time yet. She doesn’t know how long one minute is. The clock is really to showcase the passing of time, and to help give a time frame of each step. Gradually she can get a sense of the idea of minutes and hours. I’ve been using my phone to set timer to prompt her and she actually likes having this to keep her on track. So I also made a small version of the rhythm on a small alarm clock to place in her room so she can see it upon waking.
