Entering a deserted temple ground in the Old City under a bright early morning sun, I spotted a tangle of water lilies in a small pond. Looking more closely I discovered a small flock of bees busily at work inside a single, majestic flower. They were a blur of activity inside this unmoving beauty. The scene brought a quote to mind (except I don't recall the authors name): Here’s to those who love the quiet, but thrive in chaos. #flower#waterlily#nature#flowerphotography#naturephotography#bees#activity#stillness#chiangmai
More beautiful water lilies gracing the filter pond next to our natural pool. The flowers start to come out in late may and are stunning all Summer. We have bright pink, pale pink and a gorgeous pale yellow to admire. Although their biggest fans are the frogs and dragonflies who like to sunbathe on the lilypads.
I was looking for a nice photo-memory to wish you a good day m when I came across this picture taken on our first trip to Malaysia.
This little guy 🐸 was so peacefully resting on the water lily leaf that I couldn’t resist to take a photo.
Nature is really so perfect! 🙏
I'm so excited! This weekend I'll be starting my journey to Egypt in my search for the blue water lily of the Nile - Nymphaea caerulea. It contains the psychoactive alkaloid aporphine and was used by both the Mayans and the Ancient Egyptians, giving a feelings similar to that of MDMA.
