  • Happy Sunday friends! I’ve recently acquired some new followers (hello, welcome! I love you all) and I realized I haven’t done an introduction post in awhile. So here we go. 🥰

1️⃣ My name is Whitney and I’m a 25 year old wife, fur mom, graduate student, therapist intern, nanny. (Woo that was a mouth full).
2️⃣ My favorite thing about me is that I’m funny. (Like actually funny, not just think I’m funny, you’ll see). 3️⃣ I’m a mental health advocate to my core and am always here to talk or listen or virtually hold your hand. 
4️⃣ I’ve been on a journey (mind, body, and soul) for years and I finally feel like I’m starting to make progress towards my goal. 
5️⃣ I believe in mindful movement. Movement because you and your body deserve it, not as a punishment. 
6️⃣ I can literally eat a whole watermelon in one sitting if I didn’t stop myself. 🍉
7️⃣ I love traveling, not to go on a vacation, but to experience different cultures. If I can spend time with the locals, I’m in heaven. 
8️⃣ I own too many shoes for someone who hates wearing shoes. 🤷🏻‍♀️
9️⃣ I’m from a tiny town in northern Wisconsin, but I currently live in Milwaukee. 🔟 My first job ever was feeding llamas on a llama farm. 
I’m pretty sure this is the most random mix of ten facts about me that I’ve ever done. Oh well! I’m an open book, let’s chat!

  • How welcoming is your gym?

Do you have a front desk team member greeting and checking in members as they walk through the door?

Are athletes huddled in the corner near the PVC pipes or do they have a space to socialize?

Does your coach know the athletes by name and immediately introduce themselves to any new members he/she may not know?

At the end of the workout, do your athletes receive high fives, a cool down, and further lifestyle advice (nutrition, skill work suggestions, or mobility tools)? We are in the unique space to be the BEST hour of someone’s day—and, if we’re doing it right, there’s a lot of pressure there.

Our job at the NCFIT Collective is to alleviate some of that stress, and allow you to focus on the little things!

  • Another blissful day of #orchidtherapy behind me and my welcome area is all set up for the next season!🌿✨🥰✨
I love all things #chinoiserie and love to have something alive in every room—especially in my work space. Plants are so invigorating to me during hectic times of long hours of problem solving—seeing my completed arrangements as I’m working reminds me of the serene day that I set aside to create a beautiful environment, and conveys a sense completion...
which inspires me to keep going until my daily work is beautifully complete, as well.💫🙂🙌
Orchids and bamboo not only are some of my favorite plants to look at, but they are so practical in that I can create centerpieces that will last for months, and need nothing more than watering once a week!
With the first week of my last child’s senior year just around the corner and some exciting new projects on the horizon—we are in a season of LOTS of change here!
When my work environment is sparse, yet beautifully inspiring with #plantlove I find my mind is able to accomplish so much more, even in the midst of the influx of the unexpected, which inevitably rises with the tides of change.✨
🤗🌱✨Health bonus✨🌱—Did you know that improving air quality is the most significant way to remove toxin exposure that ages us prematurely and cumulative exposure to airborne toxins—especially while we sleep half of our lives away—compromises energy and daily quality of life?
Unlike the things we ingest, which get a first pass of filtration by the kidneys and liver before hitting our bloodstream and getting to our brains—toxins in the air we breathe go directly into the bloodstream via the lungs...
🌱As much as I love to be surrounded with the air purifying, CO2-absorbing benefits of my tropical friends by day, I don’t keep plants in my bedroom because of the potential of mold exposure, and I have an incredible air purifier which prepares air quality for most replenishing sleep.✨😴✨🤗💫
🌱Because the dirt under lots of plants can harbor mold, to limit mold spores in the air I prepare pots with a base of charcoal. Orchids need airflow, so they grow in bark, not dirt—making them a best choice for immune health&allergy prone.✨🌱✨
