April 7, 2019 - Whenever we see pictures of the Ruins of St. Paul’s, it’s usually where the subject poses in the middle of the steps in front of the Church facade. This won’t be one of those pictures. At the time, you can barely get a decent shot like that because of ALL THE TOURISTS crowding the staircase on a Sunday morning 😂
We were told at school that religion was a foundation to Western colonialism. A visit to this surviving Church facade recalls that. It was founded by the Jesuits in the 15th century, a time in history where Macau’s location was playing the most stategic role in the Western conquest of Asia. The Church was built by Japanese Christians who were exiled from their homeland. Of course, I knew none of these facts at the time of my visit, because I was busy looking for the next Koi Kei bakery to sample Almond Cookies from. 😂
2yrs back, I experienced a betrayal that lasted over 1yr and nearly caused anxiety and anger to take over my heart. Yet, I made Jesus a promise. Just as he was betrayed by Judas, and still gave his life for us! Then, with his help I would get back up — to forgive, trust, hope and LOVE. Most importantly, to not let anxiety control my life but allow Jesus control the anxiety.
TODAY: More than ever — with humility, more confidence, peace, and joy. I stand stronger in my faith with JESUS. To serve him and to serve others. For that very moment, when we are faced with our betrayer. You’ll be thankful that he freed you from their lies. You’ll even feel sorry for them that you’ll pray for them; Their actions may have crushed your heart. Yet, God turns it into greater POWER.

took a big leap into the deep end today, and quite similarly to this photo - I have no idea what I’m doing or getting into, but I’m stoked. Here’s to a huge summer ‘19
I’m always amazed by what I learn about our city’s history. Here are three more places of worship designated as historic landmarks.
1. The First Church of Christ Scientist at 801 N. Center Street was built in 1928 and was designed by Stockton architect Glenn Allen, who also designed the Stockton Memorial Auditorium.
2. The original Temple Israel at 821 N. American Street is one of Stockton’s oldest buildings. Built in 1855, it is one of the oldest surviving synagogue structures in California.
3. and 4. The Sikh Temple at 1930 S. Grant Street was constructed in 1915 and 1925 and is one of the first religious centers for Indians in the United States. .

Went on a sailing trip around the Whitsundays. There’s about 74 islands here that occupy the northeast coast of Queensland & the Great Barrier Reef. Our trip visited the north end of Whitsundays. Many islands are uninhabited. We passed Hook Islands & eventually ended up snorkelling around here later in the day.

The more quiet end of Airlie Beach is 5 mins from the main town & into the marina. It’s a lovely stroll with places to eat & drink along the beautiful Boat Haven.

After a much delayed flight from Brisbane, we arrived fairly late into Airlie Beach & wasn’t able to see much of anything. We did wake up to a beautiful morning though.

Randomly found myself in Brisbane City Botanical Garden. Pretty nice slice of open space close to the city.

It was a fine day to explore Brisbane by foot. Felons Brewery offered a great spot to catch some Brisbane River views & a pint of cider. The weather was rather all over place. Sunny then torrential rain then sunny again. 🤷🏻♀️
