  • We have all pushed ourselves at some point in our lives💯. We've all experienced that time where our minds 👋 tell us that we can't go any further. The question is... how often do we push ourselves beyond that? How often do we push ourselves into the unknown 💫✨?
_
I can tell you with 💯% certainty that I push myself into the unknown all of the time 👊
_
Some of the greatest accomplishments throughout history⚔ are illustrated by our ability to push through unimaginable amounts of physical🚵 and mental🙉 pain to reach newer levels and newer goals.

  • Cheers to you 😉
Always do your best for you, so you can help others to do their best as well. Be humble.

Spread positive energy, it introduces you before you introduce yourself. And empower your mind with powerful and empowering thoughts.

  • Tip: Go Ahead and Take a Nap! When you're not getting enough sleep it's almost impossible to operate at your best. Take the time to add to your sleep bank and take a brief nap!
_
Most days I’m full of energy and honestly I haven’t needed to nap much at all. This week though my husband kept me up with his unusually loud snoring and I allowed myself the time to nap and recharge.
_
It’s amazing how productive you can be if you give your self time to recharge. Sometimes you just have to slow down to speed up!

  • It was the most high-maintenance coffee date I’ve ever been on.
She sipped excruciatingly tiny spoonfuls of her foamy milk. Of course, she refused to call it foamed milk - it was hot chocolate or coffee, despite my corrections to the contrary. She wanted kisses on her eyelids, on her neck, on her chin, yet she’d squeal each time. If I stopped, I was told “mo”. She was constantly leaning on me - she has no regard for an individuals’ need for space. And she tried to sip my cappuccino - obviously, I wasn’t sharing.
The strangest thing of all, I can’t wait to do it all over again.

There’s a word for this odd compulsion to want more time with someone like her. I’m not quite sure what it is. 🤔

  • That little one 👆🏼 had three meltdowns before school this morning. That big one 👆🏼is super hero status. And that wall 👆🏼 needs something hung on it ASAP. Happy Thursday ✌🏼Oh and there’s three loads of laundry on the floor waiting to be folded. High five to all the other moms with nothing on the walls and everything on the floors! 🖐🏼 #iknowyoureoutthere #peacebewithyou 🕊😉

  • So shooting in auto mode with a Canon rebel is where it all began..... ⠀
📷⠀
I kind of stumbled into this, but it’s crazy to see how the Lord has orchestrated my steps.⠀
👣⠀
He has grown a passion for photography in me, and my heart is to love people well every time I pick up my camera, every time I edit, and every time I interact with my clients.⠀
🙌🏻⠀
I get to tell YOUR story with my lens, and there really is no greater privilege than that. I’m so thankful that Jesus led me into this job & continues to bless it.⠀
✨⠀
What is one your passions? I truly want to know! Let’s support each other and celebrate each other.⠀
🎉⠀
Cheering you on always friend!!!⠀

  • I think it’s important to ask our brands, “who made my clothes?” ...
.
I’m partnering with Fashion Revolution to show my label and help tell a different story about the clothes we wear....
.
This bag was MADE BY FREE WOMEN and it empowers women in the world’s most impoverished places through self-sustaining jobs that change lives. Handouts of food, clothing, and water may help today, but don’t necessarily change the circumstances for tomorrow. Every purchase supports a day of freedom for your crafter through a sustainable job that provides for a dignified, empowered, and sustainable pathway out of extreme poverty while reducing the risk of being trafficked or enslaved. Every item is made in a factory that meets or exceeds the World Fair trade Organizations (WFTO) standards....
.
Today, there are over 750 million people living in poverty. Many work in South Asia’s fast growing apparel industry. There are currently 40 million slaves in the world. 40% live in India. 70% are females. This means, the need for jobs that support freedom for women are crucially necessary....
.
Along with Fashion Revolution, we believe that positive change can happen if we all think differently about fashion and demand better. We want a cleaner, safer, fairer, more transparent, and more accountable fashion & textiles industries. We want fashion to become a force for good. We believe in an industry that values people, the environment, creativity, and profit in equal measure....
.
To win the war on poverty, we need to address the core issues. For poverty to end, those who make our fashion need to make a livable wage. 👯‍♀️🌍♥️🤗 ... .

  • One of the reasons I love this company is because the people in the community are so uplifting and positive.
I love to read peoples backgrounds and see their journey-look at their transformation.
Then I read the comments 🤦🏻‍♀️ Negative people in the back with the “I’m tired of seeing these posts about summer bodies that put pressure on women to look like that” “it’s because she breastfeeds” “...too skinny” “eating disorder” “too muscular” “too thick” “chunky”

Can we cut the crap?
I try to remind myself that those comments are coming from a place of self doubt, a lack of self love... and then I feel compassion for them rather than annoyed. People make these comments not because they’re tired of seeing people choosing to be healthy-they are unhappy with where they are mentally, emotionally or physically.

For some reason it’s in human nature to be intimidated by others growth.
The posts I’ve seen with these negative comments... are such positive and empowering posts. I see and feel no “pressure” by their words or pictures.. I see drive. I see commitment. I see consistency. Not one persons body is exactly the same as some one else. Not one persons goals are exactly the same as someone else’s.

Transformations are just to show progress not to be a picture of what YOU should look like. What you should look like is solely based on the goal you set for yourself-a place that you will be healthy, happy && confident. That place looks different for all of us.
So, can we all just be positive and empower one another, not tear apart peoples hard work? && there is always the option to keep scrolling too rather than to put someone else down! ❤️

  • So excited to finally share this podcast and empowering conversation - an ode to the brilliant & inspiring female leaders I work with everyday at Ziff Davis.

Thank you, @techforwardpodcast , for creating this amazing platform to discuss the important topics of gender and racial diversity in the tech industry. As women in positions of power and privilege, I believe it's our duty to change the narrative by being the voice in these difficult conversations. There are preconceived notions that have been embedded in all of us, and we know now that this disparity isn’t an issue of skill or ability - it’s a lack of encouragement and role models. We can’t show other women what to do and what to be if they can’t see it. I'm grateful to work for a company with real gender diversity in executive and STEM roles, and I truly consider it my responsibility to live this role visibly while having these conversations as often as possible. The more we show it, the more it’s visible - that's the way to transforming stereotypes. I hope you’ll take a listen, continue the conversation, and pay the inspiration forward. Link in bio! ✊🏻✊🏽✊🏿

  • 🌍FASHION REVOLUTION WEEK🌍

Cet événement qui depuis maintenant 6 ans rend hommage aux victimes du Rana Plaza au Bangladesh a pour objectif d’amener à une prise de conscience des conséquences de nos modes de consommation en matière de mode.
Le mouvement « Who made my clothes?
•

This week marks the 6th anniversary the Fashion Revolution Week event. In fact, it’s been 6 years since the collapse of textile factory Rana Plaza in Bangladesh causing more than a thousand deaths and injuring about 2 000 people. From that day on, the Fashion Revolution Global Movement’s aim is to raise awareness on the consequences of consumerism and fast fashion.
The « who made my clothes » movement gives a voice to textile and fashion workers around the world and enlightens us on the underside of the fashion industry.
Because we share the same conviction here at Afrika Tiss, it was our pleasure to give a voice to 6 of our weavers, seamstress and artisans.
Today, the women of Afrika Tiss are honored. You can get to know Bintou KABORE, Natou SANON and Halimata ZAMTAOKO through interviews on our blog. •
