  • SNEAK PEAK - ‘It’s the way her soul dances when he looks at her’ - Beth Michele 🖤 | Choosing a wedding photographer was FAR from easy. Since we got engaged I’ve had a number of conversations with previous brides about how they planned for their day, what to spend more on and what you could ‘probably do without’ and photography was of course the top for them - investing in someone who not only takes great photos, but you’re comfortable around. Being in the outdoor photo industry I see a lot of different options and had many messages and emails come through from people offering their service... Though I ended up reaching out to a long time ‘insta friend’ of mine, a fellow @keencanada ambassador, mom to two of the cutest little ones, and a birthday twin of mine! I had always admired @ellinds photos and the ‘real’ I felt when seeing them. She made us feel SO comfortable during our engagement shoot in the mountains this past Friday and captured ‘us’ perfectly. She send a couple sneak peaks the day after 🤗 and I can’t wait to see the rest! @ej.lifestyle #freshairandfreedom | @crp13

  • Snow & Ice - a selection of my personal favorites from cold northern hemisphere regions that I've visited over the past 12 months.

# 1 - Northern Lights over Lofoten in Norway - one of the best places to observe and photograph the Northern Lights.

# 2 - The frozen landscape of Lake Abraham in the Canadian Rockies is a winter wonderland for any keen photographer where you can capture some amazing snowscapes and some even more amazing frozen bubbles.

# 3 - The Canadian Rockies offer some of the most spectacular winter landscapes in the world. Bow Lake is one of those places which can be a photographers dream.

# 4 - Abraham Lake - Warm winds during the day, or chinooks as they call them in Canada, came up and melted the surface ice left in some areas.

# 5 - Greenland is the birthplace of the most impressive icebergs in the world! Every year you can observe the world's largest floating icebergs during the short summer in the Ilulissat Icefjord.

# 6 - Canadian Rockies - This is one of my favorite spots in the Banff National Park.

# 7 - Kananaskis Country in Canada - A morning I will never forget! I was alone on the ice and hunting for unique compositions and every minute of light and mood changed.

# 8 - Beautiful arctic light in the Lofoten Islands - The mountain peaks still shine from the remaining soft evening light. The transition of sunset, blue hour, alpenglow, dusk, and darkness creates a wonderfully magical light.⁣ # 9 - Northern Lights in Norway - Aurora Borealis dancing over the iconic Lofoten mountains this night.

# 10 - In the Lofoten the Arctic has a special magic during the winter months, especially between January and February. This is the best time to enjoy the winter atmosphere in Lofoten.

  • Everytime I do something on the easier side, my first thought is that I should go there with my parents. It's hard to know where all the good spots are if you aren't constantly looking things up and they love the outdoors but seem to get into the routine of doing the same thing over and over again. Showing them cool new places is my way of giving back for making me into the awesome person I am today 😂 (if I do say so myself 💁‍♀️💁‍♀️💁‍♀️) and I can't wait to show them this one ☝️ Speaking of, I'm off to another Tunnel Mountain climb with my dad! #AbrahamLake July 24, 2019 📷@qweenyyc

  • When you break your glasses and are forced to drive blind you realise that driving is way more fun due to the unpredictability of literally everything all at once! Clear the roads till Friday when my new glasses come...

  • "Objects In The Mirror 📸 Are Closer Than They Appear 🌠"
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
As I pressed the shutter📷 , and stepped away from the camera for 30 seconds to go track down Kona 🐕 wandering aimlessly, or what I like to call Adventure Wandering😉. I took a few more shots 🌌 and went back to the truck.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
When I came back to look at the camera, I noticed a shooting star 🌠 alluring over the mountanous shores 🏔 of Abraham Lake.
‐---------------------------------------------------------------------------
It is moments like this in time that make you question, is there someone, or something out there guiding you along the way?

  • The last leg of wedding season is upon us!! I’ve taken my opportunity to shimmy away and recharge my batteries. I have to constantly remind myself that taking a day to relax and unwind, isn’t being lazy. That having nothing but an unscheduled day full of doing wtf ever I please, isn’t being neglectful of my work. I want my clients to be with the best version of myself. Sometimes that means Being in nature and exploring this beautiful province.
To all my fellow wedding vendors, WE FREAKING MADE IT!
