Ethan Phillips (@wayfarerejp) is back this Friday and Saturday to serenade us with his beautiful music, so come through!! 🎶 We also heard he’s releasing an EP on May 9th if y’all wanna check that out too 👀
We turned a living room into a studio to record a live acoustic performance of my brand (spanking) new song, Every Minute After Midnight.
Shot, directed and edited by the wonderful @jaysameis who has been and will always be an undeserved partner in crime.
This one’s a special one. I’m an obsessive, self destructive kinda fella and I feel like I’ve finally said something to myself I didn’t know how to say for a long time. Some of the most important conversations we have are with ourselves, and for those of you who struggle with that, this is all yours. X
aaahh so happy I finally got to make it out to an open mic at sonix!! Trying to get myself familiarized with the mic’s again before recording daaay! I have a mic at home but I never use it cause I don’t wanna bug people who live around me LOL thank heck for open mic’s #singersongwriter#ladybug#acoustic#originalsong#guitar#openmic
Alright everybody, I took a break for a while to focus on my band, so I haven't posted as much lately, but I'M BACK!!! So let's get down to business. If you are hashtagging #singer , #songwriter , #producer , blah blah blah blah blah. trying to get attention from a bunch of random people, you've got to stop and ask yourself why?
Why do you care about other people following your music, if you don't have an album of great songs or at least an amazing single? Why are people so focused on attention and not creating an undeniable product?
In fact, most of the time people are just choosing their "single" based on the song they most recently recorded, not based on the best song that the most amount of people want to "sing" along with.
Remember, the word "single" means: a song that the most amount of people want to "sing" along with.
So how do you find a single? You write enough material that you can then pick and choose. You record 3-10 songs a month, so that within 6 months you have anywhere from 18-60 songs. Then you select the BEST song from that group and promote it properly.
You'll see your career grow 100% by this method, but this is only for the REAL musicians in the world, who REALLY want to make a living with music.
For everyone else, if it's just attention you seek, I feel bad for the future you, because the future you will be very upset when you realize you chose not to listen to me because you were hoping on "luck" and nothing substantial ever happened in your career because of it. Trust me there are over 1.2 million artists in America right now that are waiting on luck, are you going to join their team or are you going to start thinking and acting like the winners... #askadam #justaskadam #musicindustrycontact
