Recuerda si no quedó registrado no paso jajajajajajajja.. bajo los ojos de mi lente favorito 📸@abfreddyfoto 😙.
One thing that’s been really important for my mental health, mindfulness, and self compassion (yes, I’m #thatgirl ) has been shifting my perspectives on things. For example, one thing my yoga instructors often said is, “it’s a yoga practice, not a yoga perfect.” (They probably still say it, but I practice pretty much entirely at home now so who knows!)
And in my aggressively perfectionist mind, I kind of heard that phrase as meaning “work really hard and push yourself to your limits to get better” even though I knew, intellectually, that wasn’t the meaning. But as of late...
I’ve come to think that it IS a “yoga perfect.” It’s a yoga-perfect because you’re showing up. You’re doing it. You’re connecting with your body. Your mind. You’re recognizing your limits. You’re showing yourself kindness. You’re learning and doing and trying. That makes it perfect—wherever it’s at.
This has expanded to other parts of my life, like my issues with body image and eating. I’m learning, slowly, to recognize things as perfect where they ARE, rather than giving in to my improvement-geared mind of always needing to be working towards perfection. And that’s really helped me! *
Anyway, I hope that wasn’t too ramble-y, didactic, or self-centric; I just always like to share things like this in case they can help someone else change their way of thinking. Lately I’ve been SO, inordinately happy. Happier than I have been in two or three YEARS. And honestly it just makes me want to help everyone be a little happier, any way I can 💖
Alot has been happening to me of recent partaining trusting People. I've never been someone who question people's character and situation up until of recent. Having been burnt and shocked as I expected better from these people!
Now I'm caught between being myself-
A = trust before verifying and sitting up AND facing real life- ( B=verifying then trusting). .
I read a post by @woleoluyemico that the second option is a life-saver.😂 Would save me alot of headache and I won't loose money unnecessarily.
Well, here's an #acroyoga picture of me and @rachelola.
You can't do this if you don't trust your base as a flyer!
