Meet Bug & MaeMae! ❤️ “These are my rescues, Bug and MaeMae - Bug is the one making the weird face and MaeMae is looking at her with concern. ;) I had no idea I captured this photo, until I was scrolling through my camera roll later in the day!
Bug and MaeMae are from @nzchihuahuarescue and are 7 year old sisters. We were only supposed to foster them, but in the end, we just had to keep them both because they fit in with our fam and they get along really well with our other pups!

[ Prankenstein 🐾 ]
On the wall,
Who’s got the most kissable lips of them ALL? 💋
The answer is obvious! It’s BUDDY!
This big lug has all the right stuff, and he can’t wait to share it with someone forever! aside from his heartthrob looks, Buddy is a easy going guy who prefers lounging in his favorite chair, or soaking up the sunshine to frolicking around with the other campers. He’s perfectly content watching the others as he catches some 💤
He is a gentle soul and as you can see, likes to be carried around like a baby! He’s almost 5 years old and has been with us at camp since 2016. That’s a long time for a great dog like him!
Buddy will need an adopter experienced handling large dog breeds and no small dogs or cats in the home please.

Meet Alani. This 2-year-old shepherd mix is a great home protector! She is also great at letting you know when the neighborhood kids want to play or the delivery man brings a package by! You'll never have a visitor sneak up on you with Alani around ;)
Alani has had a lot of training and will listen to commands. She's a smart girl who would love to continue working with her forever family. She is kennel trained at night, and thought you could use a kennel during the day, you don't need to - she is very trustworthy to roam the house while you're away. She is also completely potty trained!
Alani loves to play with other dogs as soon as she has a proper greeting. She loves to hop around in the snow and her favorite game is tug of war. She loves toys! She is good with dog-savvy cats, as well. Alani has plenty of energy and is looking for an active family to go on adventures with.
Alani is a sweet girl looking for a forever home that will help her gain confidence when meeting new people and show her that men aren't mean and scary. If you think that could be you, apply to meet this cute girl today at rescuerovers.org

This wonderful story happened not long ago with an Akita who had never been around children until her owner passed. She since has been adopted by this family and is family guardian ❤🐾 "Have to share a very frightening moment! This amazing Keiko just ran a stray bulldog and second dog off that came out of nowhere charging "her boys". My grandsons were unaware, we were too far behind to have done anything. She hit the bulldog chest on rolled it, other dog jumped she whirled grabbed shook it, then both dogs took off running away! All happened in blink of an eye!
Not a scratch on Keiko she was so fast thank goodness but even more thankful no grandboys were hurt! (Incident was reported to police).
Dorie Sparkman you save more than just akitas! (Amazing thing about this senior girl is that she was not raised w children but is such a guardian over her boys)" 🐾❤🖖 Keiko
Meet 1 year old Lily.
Lily needs a home where she will finally feel secure and loved. She is intense regarding food and possessions but she was in her last home a month and the one before that under a year. Her ideal family will be one that builds her confidence and works to help her understand that she is safe.
Could you be the one to show Lily what it means to be loved? Come meet this beautiful lady at the CNYSPCA!

Hi there! My name is Olaf, and I can’t believe I haven’t been ‘dopted yet! My name fits me well, as I am a fun-loving pup and love everyone I meet! Playing with toys is so much fun and so is learning how to be a Good Boy. Treats are the best!
I'm listed as a puggle mix, but my foster mom thinks I look more like a heeler mix. I weigh about 12 pounds and am 4 months old. I'm learning how to sit and am using the potty outside now! Do you think I’m the one for you? Apply to adopt me today!
my pawrents finally bought me a dental new chew toy! what happened to my last one? well, i am a bit embarrassed to say but if you really must know... please swipe 👈 to see its final form after 3 months of abuse! 🤭
Five years ago today we adopted little Lucky, and he’s seen us through so much. Here were at the Reuss on our first day together as family. He’s so much more than his good looks. He’s tremendously kind, and most people describe him as “chill.” Today we celebrate springtime, the astrological first day of the year, and the joy of living with animals. To paraphrase Ricky Gervais, “I don’t believe in God but I do believe in dogs”.
Alumni Spotlight! This is Finnegan! We love the story that Finnegan’s mom shared with us and look how cute he is! This story shows the power of love and a second chance. Here is Finnegan’s story, as told by his mom!
I wanted to share my sweet boy, Finnegan’s story. Six years ago, our other Boston Terrier (and my first) was getting older and I decided to get a puppy to grow up with her before she got too grumpy ;) I reached out to MABTR and shared my interest for a puppy. Just a few months later I received a call that they had one more puppy to place & was I interested? YES! Well it’s a boy, and he’s a splash... is that ok? Omg yes! I actually was really wanting a splash Boston but wasn’t trying to be picky. So they sent me a few photos (1 pictured) and with his foster name, Pablo. Holy cr@p! The long and short of this love story is: my first Boston’s name was supposed to be Pablo (but she ended up being a girl) I wanted a boy and I was obsessed with the splash coloring. WHEN CAN HE COME HOME TO DENVER?!
He was terrified of everything. & I mean everything! Coming from a puppy mill, he had no idea who to trust and what this world was all about— even at only 3mo. He was terrified to be picked up, would NOT (& and sometimes still won’t) go through doorways, come inside, no crates for him, anxiety, and very ill. It took me about a year to get him healthy and few to gain his trust. Now, he is a brave hiking partner, loves kayaking, camping, backpacking, snowboarding, cuddling, and is the missing piece to my heart after saying goodbye to my Golden Retriever. Who rescued who? We all know this answer. 🖤
Thank you so much for sharing! We love to hear alumni stories and would love to feature more alumni stories on our page. If you would like to share your and your dog’s story - just DM us! .

Please meet Timmy boy, delicate Homer, Veve a.k.a. “smaller than a cat”, toothless granny Giugiuca and gracious Nuca. What do they all have in common? They all eat small kibbles, as being either small size either with only a few teeth left. 🐕 Therefore they would be thrilled if they receive a (large 😁) bag of small kibble. If you wish to help these doggies get the food they need, we thank you so much, on behalf of all of them! ❤️ The food can be ordered online and delivered to the adoption center (we found a very good offer, we'll find it in the comment section below), or donations of any amount can be done via paypal or bank account, with the description “small kibble”. Thank you very much for your help! The doggies and we are welcoming you to the adoption center!
😭😭😭 Our volunteers Seona and Manuela have just caught Elliott’s mum.
We are still trying to decide whether to share close ups of her face as proof. 😭 It seems like she was badly beaten. She has a hole in her head and it looks like one of her eyes is gone. 😭😭
She has also lost a lot of weight in the last few weeks we have been trying to catch her.
Whyyyyy must people harm animals that just want to survive and cause no bother?? 💔💔 We will be reporting this.
Donations urgently needed for her care:
A/c Name: AUSTRALIAN VETERINARY HOSPITAL
Bank Name: RAK BANK
Branch: MUSSAFAH, ABU DHABI
A/c #: 0392004091001
Swift Code: NRAKAEAK **(Her puppy Elliott is safe in a home. He was rescued a few weeks ago after all the other puppies had died and we had been worried about how the men were treating the dogs at that site, especially with the new construction. He was caught to save him. Unfortunately the mum would not come near us but we finally got her today). #Dogs#Dog#Rescue#StopAniamlAbuse#SeeSomethingSaySomething#AnimalActionUAE#Saluki#UAE#AbuDhabi#AdoptADog#AdoptDontShop#Adopt#RescueDogsAreTheBest#WeWillFight ❤️🐾
Robin is a sweet 6 months old boy found on the streets along with his mommy and 9 other siblings. They were barely surviving at a construction site in the cold wintery weather when our volunteers found them and took them in to a foster home. Robin’s name comes from Robinson Crusoe, a famous character in Daniel Defoe’s book. Robinson survived on a deserted island all alone after the shipwreck. Our boy Robin is a survivor as well. 5 of his siblings were taken by an illness, but he made it through even though he was the tiniest of them all. His time with mommy was cut short because the puppies were quarantined early on. Nevertheless, Robin is growing up into a playful and happy puppy that is just a little shy when he first meets you, but warms up fast and enjoys human company. His favorite things to do are to play with toys, go for nice long walks and of course communicate with people. Robin is very active puppy and will need a lot of exercise, so a fenced yard is ideal. He will need a family where someone is home most of the time, so that he can get used to the potty routine again (right now he goes outside or a pad in the house). He is used to 3 walks and 3 meals a day for now and has been crated while left alone in the house. He is a fast learner and already knows a few basic commands. Robin can be a second doggie in a house with a friendly girl, but he has never encountered cats yet. Older kids in the house would be perfect for Robin, because he could play and jump freely without the danger of knocking anyone down by accident. Robin is most likely a shepherd mix that will grow up to be a medium size dog. Right now he weighs 36 lbs and is 23 inches tall at the shoulders. He is healthy, vaccinated up to date and excited to find his forever home soon!
Throwback Thursday. This is from the time Chloe and I really had become a team.
We lived in Budapest, I was at uni, we loved adventures and boy we had fun!
I also started learning clicker training mainly from the internet forums and vids, and turned out Chloe is really smart, I just didn't know how to teach her.
❤ miss you baby girl, there are no words how much.
Olive is here to delight your first day of spring! She rides in style, thanks to @lucyand.co 🌺💖 // Truth behind the insta: Olive was named after the little girl in “Little Miss Sunshine” 🚌 Just like the movie character, she’s confident and happy, and she doesn’t see herself as lesser just because she doesn’t possess the “pageant” look or is physically “inferior.” (She’s a mutt with paralyzed rear legs due to abuse.)
