.
This Amethyst cutie is still available in the Etsy shop for a special collection-launch price. All pricing goes back to normal on Saturday so go ahead and grab her today 😘

Back to the story - tent set up! We normally RV camp, so we borrowed a friends tent for this trip (thank you!!)⁣

Of course the kids need to be standing ontop of stuff to make sure it's all being set up right =P

  • 🐟 FISHING THE WORLDS LONGEST CREEK - At 320 kilometres (although some estimate the range up to 596 kilometres!), Billabong Creek is believed to be the LONGEST CREEK in the WORLD! 🌏 And, it’s literally only 35 minutes from Deni! 🛶 Photo: @wanganellacottage #fishing🎣 #visitdeni

  • Yesterday we left Ceuta to go back to Gibraltar. The weather was a bit foggy and we used radar and AIS to safely navigate through the traffic separation scheme of the Gibraltar straight. This time there were no wind or waves so my stomach felt fine!

Due to high drug trafficking numbers and the sheer amount of cargo ships passing every day the coast guard is very active in this area. We actually watched a boat chase the other day when a (possible) drug trafficking speed boat went into the Gibraltar harbour and was intercepted by the british coast guard. However they did not catch them as the other boat was faster!

Passing through the straight of Gibraltar is quite hectic as many cargo ships are coming trough every day and you need to let them pass. They drag a brown cloud of emissions behind them which you can easily see and smell.

In the distance you can see the rock of Gibraltar. In the bay are dozens of cargo ships anchoring, their machines are running as they wait for their turn to get loaded/unloaded. You can see and smell their fumes all the time.
At the moment, more than 100.000 cargo ships are roaming the oceans. Besides emitting sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxide and particulate in addition to carbon monoxide and hydrocarbons (sulfur in the air creates acid rain as well as respiratory problems and heart attacks), the output of carbon dioxide accounts for at least 4% of the worldwide climate change emissions. (That's an old number from wikipedia, it's more by now...). You can see dolphins playing and hunting in the foreground. In the brackground you can see the industrial port of Algeciras (Spain). Its the 7th busiest port in Europe (numbers from 2010). Despite the heavy ship traffic, whales and dolphins are known to swim into the port from time to time. … #climatesailor #climatechange #climatechangeisreal #stopclimatechange #climatecrisis #climateaction #climateemergency #raisingawareness #filmmaking #sailing #documentary #emissionfree #climateactionnow #climateactivism #naturelove #sustainabletravel #sailingyacht #boatlife #adventurelife #lifeonthewater #wanderlust #traveltheworld #adventure #sailing #discoverearth #sailingaroundtheworld #sailingsdvent

  • When I get overwhelmed from all the work I have to do, I like to close my eyes and imagine moments spent in the mountains. Long inhales, long exhales, the freshness and crispness of the morning mountain air 🌬️⛰️
It works every time! I'm more relaxed and ready to roll. Try it and picture a nice recent moment. Remind yourself you have countless of those waiting for you. The work that needs to be done in between is something that will get you closer.
