  • Premier concours pour Bodza demain et reprise pour Snow ! C'était la bonne surprise du jours, car hier j'étais encore sur liste d'attente ! Il est donc grand de temps de tout préparer, matos des chiennes, chaise de camping et couverture @calliewayagility pour garder la voiture propre et confortable pour les chiennes !

The great man in this photo is Shaquille Marahaj, who I now call a friend, & he's a young man I respect because he's putting everything on the line and into his preparation to give him every chance to live his dream.⁣

He's a very talented basketball player who got in contact with us last year thanks to coach @nhatvu.aep.sc This guy can seriously play 🏀 I'm actually underselling how good he is...⁣

As an athlete your body is everything, & without a good working body you aren't any good to anyone, so thank you for trusting us with your physical preparation while back in Perth.⁣

Well @shaqmaharaj heads over to China for a brief visit before heading back to Vancouver to rejoin the Camosun Chargers and get his season underway.⁣

Part of the training philosophy of R7 we use includes Reactivity in every training session. While we have coached over a 1,000+ athletes who all wanted and needed to improve their speed, reactivity, vertical jump, and explosiveness, and we've helped them do that with some of the exercises we share with you...

...we also use some variations of these with all clients as its crucial for them to develop reactivity, power, and speed even with the goals of losing body fat and building muscle - as that helps with injury prevention, developing performance, helping them reach their goals faster...and also becoming more athletic and physically capable.

Of the many benefits of plyometric training, some of the more recognized are increased vertical jump height, long jump, strength, improved running speed, and injury prevention. It’s probably easier to see how plyometric training can be used to improve athletic performance, but perhaps more difficult to see why plyometric exercises would benefit the non-athlete.

Plyometrics is interchangeably termed reactive training. From this perspective, it is essentially about how the body interacts with ground surfaces. Being able to quickly respond to an unexpected change in surface when stepping off a curb, or to rapidly change direction when walking a dog on leash are possible examples clients may encounter. Begin with activities that focus on plyometric stabilization exercises, even using regressions.

  • Good and bad today. I guess it's the journey. I wish I could get better faster, but such is life. Showered, found a cute little roadside stand with burgers and fish, and am chilling with the pups. Not sure if I'll do emails tonight or tomorrow. Sleeping at the trial site, then hopefully beach walk in MA tomorrow. #vanlife #collies #roadtrip #agility

  • Back in Ithaca for one last wild ride 🙌🏻 As an added bonus, we popped by a UKI trial in the morning on the drive up for some NFC training and then pulled off a bonus senior jumping Q 👏🏻 Even though I’ll know inevitably be spending most of this year figuring out how to coordinate the next four, I’m determined to get as much out of the year as possible (& fit plenty of agility in along the way ☺️)

  • Heute ist mein erster eigener Agility Anfängerkurs  zu Ende gegangen. Gleichzeitig zum Start des Kurses vor ca 2,5 Monaten hab ich das Training mit Frieda richtig begonnen und ich bin super stolz wie gut sie es mittlerweile kann. 😍❤ Deshalb hier ein Video vom heutigen Training.
