  • I recently came across @alkaline_meal_ideas on YouTube and I'm obsessed. I used her alkaline butternut squash fries recipe. I burnt a few but they came out so good! The breading is super crisp yet still soft and yummyyyyy on the inside. Watch her video for the full instructions but here's the gist.
1. Cut up the squash fries into strips.
2. Dip them into a batter of chickpea flour with a little water and whatever seasoning you like.
3. Dip them into a dry batter of spelt flour and the same seasonings as above.
4. Fry them in grapeseed oil on medium high heat for a few minutes on each side until they brown up and are crispy.
5. She double battered them in the video but I was too lazy for that lol.

Enjoy!

The ginger reduced pain and stiffness in knee joints by 40 percent over the placebo.

Did you know that fruits protect and fight against cancer cells?
⬇️
▪️GOJI BERRY: Has unique antioxidant, immunomodulatory, and antitumoral properties. Stops growth and spread of cancer cells. Targets the T47D human breast cancer cell line, including cell suicide while preventing these cells from proliferating
▪️CITRUT FRUIT: Targets damaging free radicals and boost immune function, helping the body naturally overcome the damaging effects of carcinogenic exposure. Inhibits the growth of new blood vessels that serve as the energy and nutrition delivery mechanisms for cancer tumors. Chemoprotective and anti-metatastic, helping healthy cells to flourish while selectively targeting for elimination of all rogue cells that contribute to cancer.
▪️SOURSOP: Supresses oncogenes, destroys cancer cells with a potency of up to 10,000x greater than the chemotherapy drug Adriamycin.
▪️GARDENIA FRUIT: Potently anti-tumoral while selective toxicity only against malignant cells.
▪️CAMU CAMU: A potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory "superfood" known to be effective in combating cancer. Prevents the types of genetic mutations in the body that lead to cancer tumors. Protects the liver against the potentially cancer-causing effects of chronic toxicity and toxin overload.

  • My nephew hates going to kids parties, because there are rarely any plant-based options for him to eat. On the rare occasion that they have something vegan it usually has gluten or nuts, which he can’t eat. That’s ok though because his auntie is a chef, so we pregame with healthy fiddles before he goes. ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ Do you struggle with food sensitivities? ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ Having a food intolerance is not fun. It can cause abdominal pain, discomfort, and nausea. It also causes embarrassing symptoms like flatulence and diarrhea. Other symptoms linkedto food intolerances include muscle or joint pain, headaches, exhaustion, and even skin symptoms like rashes and eczema. ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ Dairy is just one of those foods that many people seem to be intolerant of. Let’s talk about the main components of milk that people react to: lactose, casein, and whey. ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ It’s estimated that up to 75% of adults are lactose intolerant. Lactose is the carbohydrate “milk sugar” naturally found in most dairy products. Lactose intolerance is so common you can buy lactose-free milk in your regular grocery store. Lactose-free products are treated with the enzyme “lactase” that breaks the lactose down before you ingest it. It’s this lactase enzyme that is lacking in most people who are lactose intolerant.
➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ If you get gassy, bloated, or diarrhea after eating dairy, you may have a lactose intolerance. If you often get a stuffy nose and mucus, then you may be allergic to casein and/or whey. ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖
While dairy may be an entire food group, it is not an essential nutrient. All the nutrients in dairy are available in other foods. If you experience these symptoms, you can try removing dairy from your diet. You may find improved digestion and fewer gut issues. Or you may find improved nasal congestion, or even less belly fat. ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ If you decide to (or have already) removed dairy from your diet, let me know your experience in the comments below. And the first 5 people to DM me what veggie I used for this cheeze sauce in my mac recipe I’ll send the recipe. #VeggiesAreBAE
