A sweet man named Jim came in for dinner last week. Jim had visited us on our second day open (last year) and was underwhelmed. But he’d seen some recent reviews and heard others talking about us, so decided to give us another chance. I agreed with him that we went through a lot of growing pains in our first year. Jim ordered the meatloaf, which I recommended. After cleaning his plate, Jim said “I don’t know any other place where I would pay $18 for a plate of meatloaf and feel like I UNDERpaid.” Thanks for visiting us last week, Jim. I work 24/7 these days. Really! Rump steak chow mein and salt and chilli chicken with lots and lots of veg!! The last thing I wanted to do when I finished work tonight was go home a cook I was thinking all the way home what should I order from the Chinese.
But then I found myself in tescos and I made my own healthy version of a chinese. This is my mind set now no takeaways when you make one at home for half the money. I've got 3 meals out of this at about £4.20 per meal.
