Our amazing guide, Hassan, telling us about this scene. An emperor is purified by Thoth and Horus. Overlooking the scene at the right is Menhyt, the lioness-wife of Khnum. In the second photo you can see some restoration work on the top of the pillars. It is so amazing to imagine all the colour in these temples! 😍 #esna#egypt 🇪🇬 #egyptology#travelholic#amazingplaces#wonderfulpeople
Machu Picchu was chosen as one of the New 7 Wonders of the Modern World 🌎 Average number of visitors per day ~ 5000 !! What??? Unbelievable.
You will ask me.. How could I get this wonderful photo without people?. Read ⬇️

I got a lot of questions about this trip 🙌
1. How to get there from Cusco?
There are 2 ways:
- Train 🚂 Cost ~ 120$ usd
It takes you from Cusco to small town Aguas Calientes. From Aguas Calientes you should trek to the top of mountain 1 hour or take a bus which cost 12$ one way.
- Other option is way cheaper but longer as you need to walk a lot.
Take a bus from Cusco to Hidroeléctrica ~ 10-15$ usd. From there you walk 4 hours to Aguascalientes. And then you trek the mountain to get to the entrance of Mach Picchu. We were walking all the way! And it took us 2 days to be back to Cusco.
2. Where to get tickets?
You can buy tickets online, in Cusco or Aguascalientes.
We made a huge mistake and thought that we can buy tickets in the entrance. NO!! So we waste half day to get back to Aguascalientes and there to buy tickets. But we got a discount as we were not on the first turn.
3. Some tips?
Put a stamp of Machu Picchu in your passport before you enter the Machu Picchu. You can take a nice photo with mountain behind.
Take snacks, water, sunblock, comfortable shoes.
The secret is that in Machu Picchu there are no toilets or shops inside. Your ticket will have some limit of time. So if you will exit Machu Picchu to go to toilet and you turn is over.. You can’t be back.
What did we do? We stayed there more than 8 hours!! That’s why there is no people and you can see this wonderful sunset! We didn’t exit)
4. Do I need to know Spanish?
Yes and no. If you want a tour inside Machu Picchu and you know Spanish.. it will cost you 15$ usd . If you don’t know Spanish ~ 25$ usd or more. But in general there everyone speak English. So no worries 😉 .
5. Should I plan my trip in advance?
You can easily arrive to Cusco and get all tours, tips there! On the main square there are so many tour agencies. You will pay 5 times less than online.
Today’s photo is dedicated to the beauty of waterfalls. 🤩🌊 .
I snapped this picture while on a hike with a dear friend at bridal veil falls on the gorge. Walking up onto the rustic wood deck and feeling the mist of the falling water filled me with a sense of peace. A realization that even though life sometimes can be scary and unpredictable, we got this. Everything seems to work out as it is meant to, we have to have faith. 🎼🌸🥰 .
Nature has always been a very spiritual thing for me. I am the kind of believer who connects with God just as much when I am on a hike as I do when I am at church. I love to be surrounded by the wonders of the amazing planet we live on, and I hope that we take more steps to protect our amazing home that is filled with endless discoveries. 🌷
Today’s post is not as much about music at it is about life. Sometimes we have to know when to go with the flow like a subtle stream, and sometimes we need to know when to jump off the deep end and surge like a mighty waterfall. There is a freedom to that wisdom. That ability to be flexible and open minded, to go with courage toward your destiny.
Love you all, go enjoy some nature today. 🎼❤️
