Fall in love with someone who chooses you just as confidently as you choose them. Commit to the person who lifts you up whenever things get rough, the person who fights to make things work when the reality of life gets difficult and discouraging.
Fall in love with someone who sees the wars within you and not only chooses to stay, but chooses to stand by your side and help you fight them. Strive to find someone who cradles your dark, who embraces your light, someone who always wants to be your best when you yourself are not your best; someone who reminds you of every strong thing you are whenever you feel feeble.
Fall in love with someone who does not make you feel like you are hard to love. Give your heart to someone who does not call you weak for feeling so deeply, someone who adores the soft creature you are, and who fights to protect it in a hardened world.
Fall in love with someone who challenges you, who inspires you to think and feel. Fall in love with someone who ignites a wildness within you; someone who grows your mind just as much as they grow your heart.
Fall in love with someone who respects you for changing because they understand that it means you’re growing. Dedicate yourself to the person who stands in awe of how you bloom, how you flourish; someone who loves you not only for who you are, but for who you have the potential to be.
Please, do not ever settle for less. Keep waiting. Keep learning about yourself, keep trying and fighting for the heart within your chest. Keep growing and nourishing your wants, keep discovering your needs. When the time is right, you are going to fall in love with someone who will appreciate everything you stand for, who will compliment you in ways you never imagined. When the time is right, the love you have always been worthy of will flower within your life, and you will finally, finally, understand why you had to wait so long. 💛
DINNER TABLE - Antara Paul (@antara246)
There's a vendor who sells fish in our locality
Every morning, when he knocks at our door,
and tries to convince my mother
to buy fish from him,
my mother laughs a tired laugh.
Says, I live alone here now. For my daughters
have left for their studies, and my husband,
for his work.
My mother, you see, is a little angry
Because every night, she sits
on the dinner table alone,
eats the remains of the previous meal
and rarely cooks more than dal and rice now.
It mocks her of the times passed by,
when our chatter echoed through the dining room.
So tonight, when father buys the fish from the vendor,
and I help her out in the kitchen,
and she plucks mangoes from the backyard
to make chutney,
my mom not only prepares dinner,
she cherishes it.
Tonight, the silence replaces
my enthusiastic rambling.
A little argument here,
an unfunny joke there,
sometimes a passing remark on politics.
But as dinner nears the end,
ma exclaims she hasn't cooked so much
for a long time.
As I clean the table, I say
I'll come back after just four more months.
And my mother smiles, for
she has to first live through them alone.

My Anxiety is a liar
It leans in at the worst times
Tells me things that I know
Are not true
Tells me what it thinks I am worth
And it is never enough.
My Anxiety is a storm
It blows apart
My playing card tower
Of self-worth over and over
leaving me gathering the cards
And carefully rebuilding
Until it blows them down again
My sister-in-law and I took the girls on a surprise trip to the beach tonight to eat a brownie sundae during the sunset. When we pulled up, Zianne (who didn’t know about the ice cream) thought we were “just” there for the sunset and said she wanted to wait in the car. Of course, I made her get out, so she could devour her sundae, laugh with her sisters, and sprint down the pier in the fading light. I thought she was being ridiculous, as if the night would have been boring if we had “only” seen the sunset. But then I realized that I often act the same way. Sulking in the backseat, only excited about the ice cream of life — vacations, time alone, date nights, career advancement — but forgetting about the daily grace of the sunrise and the sunset. The giggles upstairs at bedtime, a good workout, tacos for dinner, a car wash, checking off a goal at work, an iced latte. Lord, teach me not to sulk or plan ahead or wait for something better. Show me how to savor each sunset. Your daily grace is more than I deserve.
Time to get acquainted with SULLIVAN LONGDAGGER, a supporting character in my story (The Delphine Series).
He’s nowhere near as badass as his name might suggest. He gambles...with card games and real life. And sucks at both. This player is one sneaky yet charming conman. He can usually talk (or run) his way out of any trouble. But I think Delphine Redgrave is going to change all that.
An Outer Evocation (or is it an Inner?) named Farudon looks forward to borrow the vessel of a human host, Miriam at a temporary basis. The same had happened to Alicia a while back, when Elothu insists in merging with her vessel, to fend off the atrocities that has plagued Daybreak.

I was so excited to interview Clare Mackintosh (@claremackwrites ) for #karensbookshelf because she’s one of my favourite authors! In this interview, she shares details of her latest books, the reason behind her decision to leave the police force to become an author (we’re so happy she did!) and what readers can expect from her novels in the future. Enjoy!
New poem titled "Earth".
Happy #earthday ! I hope this poem brought out some reasons to love the earth and the world we live in.
Our planet is so beautiful and it works in amazing ways. I always remind myself to be thankful for the gifts nature presents us with. As an empath, being outside helps me reconnect to nature and heal my soul.
The Grandmaster of Light is a leader the ValuSelu Pact. It is a position of extreme power, but is surrounded by powerful people and so is not above reproach. #Ethnis#100daysproject#amwriting#worldbuilding
Chapter 3 : Roses are cruel
I eat hearts,
I disect and peel flowers to the top.
Watch people bleed sans skin, I peeled off.
I'm the devil with dark eyes.
The Morning-star of the dark.
Lucifer, God's Backup Plan.
All this I can be,
But I'm not a fake honey,
That just stabs me right in my heart.
Me, Scammer of Compassionate DM's
You fit into when Bob said
Hated when Real
Loved when Fake."
I'm Guilty honey of my scam, to take pride
When roses bloom in the winter nights.
But don't you forget, I too have dreams
Of my horizon full of Tulips.
Don't you forget Time is precious in The other side of the world too.
Its never too late to run aside
Thorny psychiledic fibs.
Thank you dear, for waking fanatics.
Injecting cure into my delude.
Let me run to my tulips
" wasn't yours, weren't mine
Though I wished, time to time
We found common grounds
Your voice was a welcome sound
The emptiness fills with your song
People find they belong
Or keep on"
You eat roses, how does it taste?
But I hate roses, tulips is my state
You never listened to my notes
My majors were half those silent notes
Sorry I can't take back my scaming words.
Do you hear any?
Will you remember my words
But I'll remember your lesson,
" To never hurt souls with the help they never ask for"
but above all
Remember it's April 14th in this part of the world "Happy B'day, stay blessed"
I'll Remember you for you have filled my pages. I May never be understood, surprise! Surprise! its deja Vu. The price I pay for being real and nice. Hated After All
PS: But never forget, I am a Scam after all. I dissect you and drink blood.
But was I a fake from the start of all? ..Tell sooner, if you know it all
Series: Part (1/4)
I savoured unbound roses
Free Roses gathered Thorns
I dare pick this Rose,
Bleed and be Blamed.
Stood, grace and gazed her red.
Planted Tulips Instead."
I speak French You never figured.
Cats are cats, Dogs are Dogs.
Opposite Attracts, us not."
I travelled back in time,
To dislodge the daggers.
Sorry I couldn't,
They are too deep to die." .
