So lads, for this post I'll be expanding more on the idea that HNK is inspired by Buddhism. Manga and late anime spoilers obv
So for the initial part of the post I'd like to address Shiro, the massive Lunarian that appears in episode 10. Shiro takes on the appearence of a massive humanoid creature with light pinkish fur, with 3 sets of eyes, 4 arms, 2 legs and a mouth possessing 4 fangs total, two pointing upwards and two downwards. I wanted to address this lunarian because he possesses some interesting details. To start, he had multiple arms, something commonly seen on Buddhist and Hindu deities, as seen with the photo I uploaded of the Buddhist god Ganesha. Not only is this present with Ganesha, but also multiple other Buddhist gods. This is meant to represent a god's immense power, and is not only restricted to arms, as the god Agni is commonly shown with two heads. Another thing to note is his clothing, as he is shown wearing a Buddhist Kesa, a peice of clothing that's draped over the shoulder and covers the abdomen, left chest and groin. Many Lunarians are seen wearing this too.
Whilst on this topic, I'd also like to point out that Sensei wears a sort of kesa aswell, as he wears a black robe and an orange over peice. Just a neat little thing to note.
Anyway thanks for reading, please correct me if I made any mistakes or even if you've noticed something I didn't, I'd love to read your thoughts :)
